This week sportsbook report is on PayOffsPlus (aka BetPop) (SBR rated B-)

They are located in Costa Rica and are part of the First Fidelity family of books. They are a very good recreational type book, but they will boot professional players so pro's please take note.

They offer very nice bonuses, teasers,pleasers and sweetheart pleasers, along with some of the best parlay odds out there. They also will also let you buy up to 2 full points if need be. Their lines aren't the best in the world IMO, however they are fairly good overall.

The types of deposits they accept right now are [iSBRFORUM]**[/iSBRFORUM], [iSBRFORUM]**[/iSBRFORUM] and believe it or not [iSBRFORUM]****[/iSBRFORUM]/[iSBRFORUM]**********[/iSBRFORUM] (3x's rollover and no bonus) No [iSBRFORUM]Echecks[/iSBRFORUM] though guys. Their withdraw fees on [iSBRFORUM]Fedex[/iSBRFORUM] checks are a flat fee of $55 ($500-$3,000 per check).


Their customer service department needs to improve like most books. For example: below is a live chat session I'm trying to have with them right now, and I've been waiting for over a half an hour now to no avail.

The things I really don't like about this book is that they will cold call you often. Another thing I didn't really care for is the fact that the customer service reps will tell you that you qualify for the bonus, and then you'll get the shaft after you make your deposit (Just sucks they won't Email the offer confirming the approval).

After my experiences with them. I would probably rate them at a solid B rating.

I've spoken with the head guy there on more than one occasion (he asked that I not give out his name). While they do not want professional action, they are very fair in dealing with sharp players. I'm not aware of any bonus confiscation issues, or other blatantly unfair tactics towards winning players.

They WILL limit sharps, especially on teasers. That said, the method they use for handling sharp action is fair and predictable. They do not take "retroactive" measures. Instead, they tell the sharp what to expect going forward, and CLEARLY state what the player can or cannot do.

I thought about this book earlier during the BJ dispute, and almost listed some of their "countermeasures" as the model way to do this fairly.

As Bigboydan stated, they have great teaser odds. 6 and 10 point teasers are the cheapest on the market here.

Don't accuse me of recommending a book, but this might be one of the best "B-" books out there. I have several friends who have played there a long time, and they have nothing but good things to say about this book.

Maybe it was a bad idea for me to feature BetPop as the sportsbook of the week Justin. I mean this book really flies in under the radar and is truly a very hidden gem indeed.

Their was something else I did forget to mention above in my original review, and it's something that is probably note worthy.

I noticed that you can use the same user ID and password at both youwager and BetPop. Your probably thinking who cares right (LOL). Well, I found out if you make a deposit through youwager, then you are able to get around the bonus restrictions. However, I would suggest that you consider the penalties that could be levied against you if you do that.
