Showing ID and Giving SSN for **/**

Please excuse my ignorance. What is the big deal with this. I want to see how the dots connect all the way.

Does the SSN number go anywhere? Must you give it? Can you just make one up?

As far as the ID, why is it a big deal to show an ID? So they have your name.

If you have any experience here, please let me know. By the way, I have read quite a bit the last couple days about people getting booted from **. I do want to send maybe 2k to a bunch of places and am concerned.

Pretty soon you'll be sending it $300 or less at a time, and driving around all day to get the deposits made.

This has to be crippling the smaller books.

What are you saying Scorpion? That I should prefer to deposit by cashier's check through Fed Ex (I was confused by the link to Fed Ex part- I could obviously send it through snail mail or another courier as well). Spell it out, guys! I'm slow.

International money orders via Fed-ex would probably be your best option IMO NG. Just make sure and check with the books your going to play at first to see if it's ok.

I have used ** 15+ times and ** 4 times so far. I have never had to give my SSN. I have had to show ID 4 times, for all three that were $1K or more and one other one where I think the clerk just asked out of habit, or because he was bored.

My largest sending was $2,000. The fees go up rapidly when sending over $1K, but if the book is paying the fees then it doesn't really matter. When I sent the $2K, I commented to the clerk that it would be cheaper to make two separate $1K sendings, and the clerk replied that this would get my account "red flagged" by **. I didn't really pursue the line of questioning at that point, and just made a mental note not to try to play loose and fast with the fee structure that I wasn't paying anyways.

I was asked once if I was sending this money to a sportsbook. I did my best to look confused and asked what a sportsbook was and that was the end of it.

The people behind the counter for ** and/or ** are not government agents or rocket scientists. They are $8/hour bubbas trying to scrape up a living, so they don't really give a crap why you are sending cash via their service. They may ask because the company has rules, but they don't care personally. If you find a clerk that does, go someplace else - they're on every other street corner.

I have been asked for my SS# twice, both for deposits at 1000 or more, both at ** stations. Different clerk and different station each time. Both claimed to come to a screen that would not let them go any further without me showing proof of my SS#. It was for amounts at 1000 or more. Just deposit lower than 1000 at a time and you are ok. For larger amounts use money orders and fedex them like suggested.

I'm pretty sure you have to give your SS# when you withdraw over $1000 at least for **. I withdraw $1000 tonight through ** and didn't have to give it.

Has anyone had to produce a SSN for WITHDRAWALS via **? Does your personal info get registered anywhere or is there just a control number that you have to provide? Thanks

I made the mistake of using a bank (just because of convenience) to send ** one time & had to give up my ID & SSN for them to process the transaction...

I've used a few different places & never been asked for ID/SSN anywhere else...
