Caesars revoked Seven Star status after app limits cut

Just a heads up to anyone who bets a lot on the Caesars app. I racked up 700k tier & rewards points last year on the app before my account got cut. Not unusual or unexpected.

Haven't really been using the account, but logged in recently to cash out my points and noticed that I was dropped to Diamond Elite for this year instead of 7star. So no seven star perks, even though their standard is you usually get to keep your status for the following year.

Also it wouldn't let me cash out my rewards points for bonus cash in the sportsbook anymore. Support said rewards points are considered a "bonus", which I'm no longer eligible for, so I guess I have to use them all in Vegas or at my local CZR casino. Clearly not as good because you basically get 1:1 cash in the app vs having to spend on caesars property, or convert them 2:1 for casino play.

Did you ask about being "dropped" from 7*?

I am in the exact same boat. I called and the implication was that they are still updating the system and to check back soon, although I couldn't really get a direct answer. And in looking at message boards, it seemed like nobody's 7* had carried over yet from last year.

Yeah nearly impossible to get any straight answers, especially since my host disappeared once they decided to cut my account.

I have a friend who also hit 7S last year on the sportsbook and it still has his status as 7S. He's down $$ on his account though. I have a feeling since 7S is "invite only", they decided to not give all the free perks to a bunch of winning sports bettors.

If it's the same for every person with a limited account like you guys are implying, I highly doubt its any kind of technical error.

Interesting. I was specifically told last year that it would be automatically good for this year. I actually did do my 7* retreat last year and planned to it again soon. Very annoying.

I'm already Diamond Elite for this year, but imagine I'll never get invited to Seven Stars again. It's bullshit.

I have the same problems. Demoted, can't redeem my points.

Have you guys got anything documented that says your 7* status will carry over to the next year?

That was definitely the case. Wish I had screenshotted and gotten that by email, but it wouldn't matter anyway...

Them not allowing you to redeem the points is bullshit. I guess I should start using mine before that inevitably happens. Them downgrading you is no surprise to me when it very clearly states “invite only”.

I’m actually hoping to not reach seven stars this year because the account is already so valuable. Getting the account reviewed and potentially losing that value just for a chance at seven stars status doesn’t seem worth it.

Caesars has been a lot more willing to take bets than a lot of other US operators. I know several players up 6-7 figs that still get house limits.

Yeah, but they invited me in 2022 based on earning it in 2022. It was supposed to be for the remainder of the year and for the following year. That's what I was told I thought it was just going to automatically carry over. But of course they can revoke whenever they want, so there's that.

What are house limits? As far as I know, they never disclose, you just have to guess and hope.

CAESARS REWARDS - TIER SCORE ZERO (0)?

Why is my Tier Score zero?

The Tier Score you earn from January 1 – December 31 each year determines your Tier Status (Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Diamond Plus, Diamond Elite or Seven Stars) for the following year. On January 1, all Tier Scores are reset to zero so members can start earning their Tier Status for the next year.

The Tier Score you earn from January 1 – December 31 qualifies you for your Tier Status from the date earned through the remainder of the year, all of the next year and through January 31 of the following year. For example; if you reach the Tier Score requirement for Diamond status in July of 2022, you will remain Diamond status until January 31, 2024.

CAESARS REWARDS - TIER SCORE EXPIRATION AND RENEWAL

Your Tier Score is the amount of Tier Credits you earn in a calendar year. Tier Credits are used to determine your Tier Status: Gold, Platinum, Diamond or Seven Stars.
The Tier Score you earn from January 1 – December 31 qualifies you for your Tier Status from the date earned through the remainder of the year, all of the next year and through January 31 of the following year. For example; if you reach 15,000 Tier Credits in July of 2022, you will remain at Diamond status until January 31, 2024.
In January accounts are reviewed. Accounts that maintained or are eligible for upgrade in status will be processed throughout the month. therefore as of the first week in February your account will reflect your new Tier and expiration date. It may take an additional 72 hours to show on-line. New cards will be available at this time as well.

Yeah I can still get down an ok bet, though it gets sent to review every time now before usually being accepted. But trading team is different than whoever is handling status/comps.

I think it is arguable that those terms do not allow them to just not honor already earned points.

Do you want to have a go at arguing the point?

Fact is, CAESARS has made their tier status requirements and how to attain a clusterfuk for years and years.

It's amazing they can't make it easier for people to understand.

I think my points are still ok, they just can't be used in the sports book app.

Don't think arguing with anyone there will move the needle, if you can even get connected to anyone with any decision making power. Like with limits getting cut, and all the other BS the sports book throw at you, I think you're better off just accepting it's all part of the game.
