William Hill have closed my account and taken over £1100 off me.

I do not have any duplicate accounts and they will not tell me which bonuses I have supposedly abused. They just give me the reply below:

    Thank you for your email.

We apologise for the delay in our response and any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Please note that should the Gambling Commission require any information from us, they can contact us directly and we would gladly provide any assistance that they may require.

Please be advised that we have sanctioned your account due to a breach of our Terms and Conditions relating to bonus abuse. The specific section of the Terms is shown below:

11.1 The following practices (or any of them) in relation to the Services :

-abuse of bonuses or other promotions; and/or
-using unfair external factors or influences (commonly known as cheating); and/or
    -taking unfair advantage (as defined in paragraph 11.5.3);
    -opening any Duplicate Accounts; and/or
-undertaking fraudulent practice or criminal activity (as defined in paragraph 11.5),

constitute "Prohibited Practices" and are not permitted and will constitute a material breach of the Terms of Use. We will take all reasonable steps to prevent and detect such practices and to identify the relevant players concerned if they do occur. Subject to the above, however, we will not be liable for any loss or damage which You may incur as a result of any Prohibited Practices, and any action we take in respect of the same will be at our sole discretion.

As a result of this breach, we have suspended your account and removed your balance as covered in the following section of the Terms:

    20. BREACH OF THE TERMS OF USE

20.2 Where You are in breach of the Terms of Use, we may, prior to any suspension or termination of Your Account notify You (using Your Contact Details) that You are in breach, requiring You to stop the relevant act or failure to act, and/or requiring You to put right an act or fault on Your part; and warning You of our intended action if You do not do so, provided always that such notification shall not be a pre-condition to any suspension or termination of Your Account.

20.4 In addition to any other remedy available, if You breach any of the Terms of Use we shall be entitled to recover from Your Account any positive balance then existing to the extent of any amount reasonably claimed against you pursuant to paragraph 20.1.

Should you have further questions, please feel free to send us an email or contact our Live Chat Team so we can address your concern in a quicker manner.

    With regards,

You mention you havent done bonus abuse or have had duplicate accounts. But willhill include these points as to reason why they sanctioned you - have you done any of this??

-undertaking fraudulent practice or criminal activity (as defined in paragraph 11.5),
-using unfair external factors or influences (commonly known as cheating); and/or
-undertaking fraudulent practice or criminal activity (as defined in paragraph 11.5),

I said I have no duplicate accounts and I have not knowingly abused their bonuses. How can it posibly be justified for them to take that amount of money off me whilst refusing to tell me exactly what I have done wrong?

You didnt answer the question. It might have nothing to do with bonus abuse or having multiple accounts.
It may have to do with criminal activity, playing fixed games, money laundering, how you deposited, manipulating software, including many others..........

William hill should tell you exactly the reason but Im not sure legally if they have to. My guess is that they are legally bound to tell you specifically, especially as the money is a sizeable amount.

If you can still log in your account, post your recent plays... or if any plays in the result section show the words "DNS" next to the slip it might be that game in particular that has caused the problem.
    Good luck.

I had £710 and they just took the lot and I had 3 open bets, one of which has since won so there was another £435 in there and now they have just closed the account.

About 4 years old I think. I have asked them 3 times about details and they just send that email. I threatened them with the gambling commission and they said they would give the GC details if they asked for them.

Why is SBR not replying to my complaint either?

You should get your money back. They cant just take your money unless you've done something really bad.

Try Gibraltar. Failing that - take them to a small claims court.

They have closed mines too. Again, same promos as namechanger and done the recent 2nd place refund offers.

Over £400 in my account and they say they will not refund any of it. The bets I won were out my own funds and not bonus funds. I also sent them my bank card, drivers licence, utility bill and they sent me this:

"We do apologise for the inconvenience but upon checking your account, it shows that we were unable to verify the authenticity of the documentation you have provided us with. Please be advised that as per management decision, we cannot reactivate your account and it will remain suspended."

What a joke of a company!

All getting passed on to SBR.

Assuming you have nothing to hide...send them an email saying you are going to take them to a small claims court. Give them a while to respond. Do it online at Moneyclaim.gov.uk and use their Wood Green address. I had success using this method.

Don't waste your time with SBR - I don't think they even respond to complaints these days.

People should be really careful what they post online, as it can damage their credibility when it come to protesting their innocence. No duplicate accounts you say, hmmmm.....

    Re Victor Chandler:
xxxx:Gubbed here. What are the chances of opening up a new account?

namechanger:If you try I would use a new email address.

It worked for me but also on my original account they had spelt my first name wrong by one letter so it might have helped that my name would not have flagged it up because it is different.

namechanger:Glad I didn`t take part in any of Vic`s traps this week. Never taking part in any of his offers again and will just use my single remaining account for regular betting.

    Re Ladbrokes
namechanger:yes I had 2 in my dad`s name that were linked to mine so those have gone as well.

    Re Racebets:
namechanger:I can pretty much avoid getting accounts gubbed now after gaining experience of what triggers their software etc. The only one I have lost within the last year is Ladbrokes when they went on their cull.

Re Paddy Power sign up offer 11/3/2013
namechanger:Cannot find the terms anywhere for this offer, either from this link or via the oddschecker site.

And his username is "Namechanger" loool

Still, they should honor the bet. If it lost, he wouldnt get a refund. And if he is a UK player there is some protection.
