Just interested in hearing what those of you that live or have lived in Vegas about some of the stupid and aggravating things that happen when you visit the local books. Stories are welcome also.
#1 for me are the guys who pick plays while they are standing at the window with 10 people behind them, especially when it's 5 minutes to first pitch or kick off. The books seem to tolerate this. You'd think they would want to book all the action they could get, but I constantly see guys picking 10 teamers off the sheet when they are at the window or backing up to look at the board. I've been shut out more than once because of this along with others. Very aggravating.
#2 - The books have these huge electronic LED boards showing the spreads & lines. You would think with all this technology, they could keep them updated. Many times you've got your odds and bet amount figured, but when you get to the window they have changed. AAARRGGHHHH.....
