Has Anyone had their FanDuel Acct Restricted?
I am asking because of the issue with Draftkings. They "may" restrict it simply for logging in from a different computer (different IP address). If you play from home desktop always and don't change internet providers, you should be able to have the same IP address always. However, if you use a laptop to log into your account from a mall or public library, etc; this will create a different IP address; which in turn from Draftkings "could" trigger your account becoming restricted.

dude your fine. The whole purpose of the app is for it to be "mobile" I use mine everywhere and plus VPN sometimes too. You sound to me like there is more to this then just worrying about this isuue...

BTW restricted may also mean that the geo location function cannot determine your area. Happens to me all the time and I just hit re check and it figures out

I have never had to logon for DK more than the initial login. FanDuel may take a couple of "try again" to log in but it's fine.
I don't have apps. Haven't learned to use that on my smartphone, which is hard enough to learn as it is. The difference in Wi and internet service has me baffled so I don't really trust the iphone. There is no other issue. Draftkings is EASY to use from here, but I want to feel free to use it on my laptop from anywhere in Virginia without a hassle.

        We cannot locate you
Your IP address indicates you are not in a permitted area. Please make sure that you are within a permitted area, then try again.
For Security purposes, you are required to turn off your Proxy or IP anonymizer. Please disable, then try again.

Thanks, I'm getting a strong idea, that Draftkings does different thing with different devices. I would never even try to use a VPN . Doesn't that block your IP? How the HELL would they come to the conclusion that someone else was using your account if you simple used a different computer laptop at the store vs desktop at home?? That's CRAZY?

Tell me in simple terms, why you would use a VPN, which you absolutely know will cause your logon to be rejected? Is it simply to test the system OR to show me that it can be done? (First rejected then logon after disabling the VPN). Are you not playing "games" with them?
Thanks man, i do appreciate your info. Looks like we are the only 2 with interest.

Now you are starting new threads to spread this misinformation too??

Have you even asked them if your claim is correct?

They dont limit people for using two devices or different IP addresses.

Books been dealing with multi accounts for years, don't assume they have no clue what they are doing. Or penalize innocent people willy nilly. if you see someone claim they got penalized JUST for using two IP addresses, they are lying or mistaken. No argument possible to the contrary.

Don't use any other account holders device at any sportsbook or you could be penalized. So dont use a library computer. Is that what you want to do? Bet from a library computer?

on accident if I forget to turn off. BTW the only reason you should be using DK Fandual or any of the legal ones is for the promos like odds boosts or missions...Thats all I use them for them for as juice is horrid if you are not using the freebies they toss which they all do

Thanks O! I would use my own laptop in the library, but of course it would show a different IP.. And what difference would it make if I used a library computer to login to my account? Both would have different IP.. My laptop has never been on their websites either. I'm only relating what I read that they DK said on Google about IP, nothing more. No I won't call them unless a problem I have sent an email today. Maybe will get an answer "soon".

It makes a difference as books fingerprint devices. Same device for two accounts is almost always instant account bans, and often only deposit money back.

If you use your laptop at the library, and someone else has done the same at that library, you may be flagged. But unless they see a pattern that suggests you know each other, like betting same events for more than normal, it's unlikely you will even be told.

Using shared IPs and public computers is not smart idea. As mostly people trying to hide and links back to them do it. But if you are innocent, it usually wont turn out badly.

Caught people will try to convince otherwise is all.

You make the case for me learning how to use my Iphone. I got the damn thing and it's more complicated than I thought. There was an Apple safety update, which required me to use my Wifi to get and not the automatic safty updates they do behind the scenes. Because I could not find my router's wifi number(which is about a dozen or more letters figures), I had to take the phone into Verizon. There they let me connect to the Verizon Wifi and get the full safety download. It took about 30minutes in total.... I will never add a credit card to the damn thing... If the phone is lost or stolen, I would not know what to do. Not paying $129+ a year for that protection. The damn phone was under $400.

I am a bit wary of banking or important stuff on my phone too. Much prefer to stick to computer.

But maybe get verizon to show you how to use your phone as a wifi hotspot for your laptop when not at home? Safer for you too.

Thanks Kona. That's good to know first hand.

I'd be kind of surprised if they allow that to continue long term as a free for all though. All these books European parents and backend providers have been hot to trot against using family ID for second accounts for years.

I'd be kind of surprised if they allow that to continue long term as a free for all though. All these books European parents and backend providers have been hot to trot against using family ID for second accounts for years.

the US Legal books also make you verify account at registration. not like offshore where its at cash out most of the time

But maybe get verizon to show you how to use your phone as a wifi hotspot for your laptop when not at home? Safer for you too.
That would be great unless I have to use my home Cox account router number for Wifi. I mean I have full internet access for 2 years with my plan anyway. I don't get the WiFi business.

You don't. It's just tapping a few buttons on phone and entering a code it gives you on the laptop once.
