I’m having issues with Bovada withdrawing my money. They said I can only use bitcoin. What is the best app to use? Thanks.

#7I never had an issue with BitPay before, but after being compromised and having my funds stolen in this direct scenario (Bovada to BitPay) I am reading their security is terrible, they don't implement updates, etc etc. Just a warning for others.Comment -

Did someone use your password to do this?
If so i would give your machine a proper trojan check before using it for anything else important.
www.malwareremoval.com offer a free service that is better than anything you could pay for to do that.
BTW, if you had withdrawn to your own private wallet from Bovada, and then sent it to your exchanger (Bitpay) from there, as our tutorial video suggests, then you could now see exactly what happened yourself instead of having to rely on two third parties to tell you what is going on and handle your money any way they choose.
Not breaching Bitpay terms by sending direct to them from a sportsbook is not just about not getting your account shut down, it means that you are always a party to every transfer of your money and is just sensible, full stop.
Never listen to anyone who tells you differrent, no matter how long they claim it worked fine for them..Comment -

#9BitPay gave me the generic response that they send to anyone who has funds stolen - I say generic because in my Googling today I saw similar incidents where the same message was sent from BitPay...to paraphrase:
a) we don't believe you; we believe you sent it and now are trying to get it back; OR
b) your wallet was compromised so stop using it
I will try the suggested malware software/forum. Trojan Killer found some stuff on my PC. Even so, I only use phone for the BitPay app.
I have no idea how someone did this as the BitPay claim is that without the 12-word key phrase, you cannot access an account without the device its on. Thing is, I've had BitPay for years and have only had this current phone for one year, and I am certain I did not remember the pass phrase when putting BitPay on this current phone, so there is a way to access a wallet without that key phrase.
Finally, and this is a novice question but what do you mean by a "personal wallet?" I learned about BitPay on here years ago because of the advantage of the debit card, and Book-to-Coinbase being a no-no. You mention I would have been able to see what exactly happened with a personal wallet. I guess my question is...wouldn't the Bitpay wallet on my phone be a personal wallet? In other words, if I had a different wallet on my phone why would that wallet be protected any better, and how would I be able to see anything but a btc address, the same as I can see now? Hope my question makes sense. I now have been reading that BitPay has absolutely awful security and is basically the worst wallet you can ever use, so I'll avoid them entirely moving forward.
Thanks for the reply!
What did Bitpay say?
