    Pinnacle reducing limits/limiting players?
    Hi all,

I've been a reader of SBR for a while, both the site with the sportsbooks ratings and the forums, but I'm a first time poster. My main book is Pinnacle, and I mostly bet live MLB (I also bet some pre game, some basketball, some hockey etc, but live MLB is my favourite). While Pinnacle claims, and has the reputation of being the sharpest book with the biggest limits, I've found this to not be true, and even less so as of this week. Last season they had a limit of $2000 (which isn't that impressive anyway, bookmaker is $3000) and after starting the first few days this season at $2000 they have dropped them to just $1000 from the 8th inning of live MLB (this is on par with BetOnline, which is pretty sad honestly). At first I thought I was limited, but I checked with some friends and it seems to be site wide. While searching around on google I found this article which highlighted something interesting:

    daily25.com/please-explain-pinnacle/

Basically that Pinnacle has different limits for different players, which is something I didn't think they did.

Have you guys noticed anything like this? And what are your betting limits on Pinnacle?

That's true, Pinnacle are not particularly strong in live betting.

That article you found about different limits is from 2013 btw, but it's not really news anyway. They had a policy of opening all fresh accounts with the same limit and it increased if they did not flag your betting as sharp.

Not really sure if that's still the exact same policy today, but different people do have different limits.

You're not being limited. And you're talking live betting limits. Pregame is where they have the highest limits. I don't think they made the claim that they have the highest limits on all markets at all times.

Live betting is different from pregame betting. You need a huge staff to keep track of games, basically a person watching one, mostly two games and changing odds for 3 hours straight. It has to be a very demanding job. Books like bet365 or Betonline, it seems, have the necessary resources to offer huge menus of live games. But Pinnacle probably doesn't. If Pinnacle did, odds would probably be worse either in Live or Pregame betting just to compensate for multiple extra salaries to top-notch talent they would have to add to their army of linesmakers.

My limits are the same as yours and I noticed the change as well a few days ago.

There isn't a guy manually changing odds. It's done by algorithms automatically.

Pinnacle is a prelive book, their live bets are really crappie, sometimes the bets go offline for no particular reason, and sometimes they stay offline for the entire game

Keep in mind that you can re-bet as often as you wish, but the odds will increase each time until there's action on the other side.

ps3838 is closing some bets. The pinnacle is also open. For example, today liverpool match was closed after 1-0. Opened after 2-0. Aalborg match is the same.

Can confirm pinnacle started season around 3000 for late totals between innings and changed to 1000 range. Tonight, im seeing everything in live baseball is half of what it's been last few weeks. (only 443 euros on late totals between innings)

                        Can someone confirm?

Same for live nba, only 222 euros in live (non commercial)

They may have limited just my account then cause that'd be way too low for nba. Can someone check?

Last 1.5 innings of the game and if any extra innings, limits are usually $1000 for me. It used to be $2000 the first week of the season.

Does everyone else also have a delay in live bets being accepted in MLB even between innings? This is a first for me with MLB bets having a delay during commercial breaks.

Delay as in waiting to running? Sometimes if they don't adjust it to the commercial line over the live line it'll remain as that yea.

I have about a 10-12 second delay before my bets are accepted regardless of whether it is the commercial line or not. This has been going on since the beginning of this year's MLB season. The only exceptions being during the final 1.5 innings' commercial breaks where the limit is $1,000. Bets placed during those commercial breaks are accepted instantly. I usually only place wagers during the commercial breaks as the lines during play are usually too heavily juiced.
So your bets are accepted without a long delay during all commercial breaks? Is it just me who experiences this ridiculous delay?

I have noticed they sometimes forget to switch it to the commercial line between innings sometimes but that's it. Is your last 1.5 inning limit still $1000? Mine was dropped today to $500.

Regular account or ac88 account? I have ac88 account at $500. AC88 claims was for all clients so if youre with them too then that’d be something. I didnt check the rest but I just noticed every single one was half of what it has been.

I have a normal account so I guess that makes sense as I've heard that limits at agent accounts are half of normal accounts. But I guess that's also why you don't have a delay on every wager placed during commercial breaks. I'd rather have half the limits than having the delay and having wagers rejected randomly.
