10Bet cancels winning bet with dubious excuse
    Hello,

I want to share a bad story with 10Bet. I knew before that they are not very trustworthy and reputable (limiting winners, accepting live bets after 2 minutes waiting, ridiculous withdrawal fees and rules). But what they did to me lately is nothing else but stealing my money.

To make it short: I've placed a bet on Mexican baseball league. The bet was a winner. But my ticket wasn't settled until a few days later, when I eventually received an email that my ticket was cancelled because I placed my bet AFTER THE EVENT STARTED. That's nothing but a blatant lie. A little later I found that my account had been limited to a stake of 10 Euros per bet. What a funny coincidence. I've e-mailed them three times, they did not reply until today (2 weeks later). To test them, I've used another e-mail account pretending to be a new customer needing help with depositing money, they replied within 3 hours. Again, funny coincidence, isn't it?

I've bet on the very same event at bwin and pinnacle, where it was listed with the same start time, and they both graded my tickets correctly. There was nothing wrong with this bet AT ALL. It was listed to start at 1 AM CET, it started at 1 AM CET, the game was not fixed, there was no erroneous line or suspicious odds movements, just nothing. 10Bet later claimed the event started at 0:30 AM CET and I've placed my bet at 0:45 AM. If that WAS correct, at that time the team I bet on was trailing 0-2, so why would I want to cheat them this way?

The best thing is, I've placed other bets on this very event at 10Bet which I lost. And guess what, 10Bet didn't cancel my losing bets.

I've reported this case via the sportsbookreview complaint form, but I didn't receive an answer as well. I know this is a free service and there is no obligation, but still, I'm a little disappointed about that too (update: it seemed to be a technical issue, I'm sorry about that)

Since I don't care much about the money (10Bet wouldn't have let me withdraw it either way, or with some ridiculous 30% fee), I stopped e-mailing 10Bet and SBR and now I just want to tell everyone about this scam bookie. I've accounts with about 30 books, some were limiting me, some had slow payouts, but no one of them actually robbed me. I strongly advise you to never open an account with these crooks.

10Bet do give 1 free withdrawal a month.

FWIW I use them occasionally, and haven't had a problem, though the delay in Moneybookers withdrawals is a little annoying (it's about 3-5 days, I think) as is the fact that you're limited to 1 free withdrawal a month.

They're not longer a registered operator with IBAS (the non-binding mediation service). But if you're in the UK and you can prove that the bet was placed before the game started (screen shot, etc. what does the bet slip say?) you can sue them. Gambling contracts are binding here, and it's only £40 to file online via the government's Small Claims website. That £40 gets passed onto the person you're suing. Obviously, it's worth doing this only if you've got sufficient proof of when the bet was placed, you're sure that 10Bet won't resolve this amicably, AND if it was enough money that it's worth your time.

"10Bet may charge a withdrawal fee of up to 8% if your deposit is not rolled over 5 times."

I think this says it all. Especially when they limit you to a stake of 10 Euros, it is effectively impossible to rollover 5 times. What a joke. I don't know any other bookie with that kind of crooked rules.

Thanks for your help regarding the cancelled bet. I don't want to sue them, I don't want to have any contact with them again, ever. It is not worth the hassle. Even if I get my money back, I have to roll over it according to their crooked rules. The amount in question is about 90 Euros (which was the maximum bet they allowed on this league prior to limiting my account). I've cleared the money left on my account by losing it to another bookie, which fortunately succeeded. So I'm done with 10Bet.

Yeah, I noticed that line in their rules, but also the use of "may" (ie. not "shall" or "will"). In the past, and just a couple of weeks ago, I've e-mailed them when I'm looking to withdraw to confirm when I can take a free withdrawal, and they've offered it 30 days after the last deposit. No fees deducted, and deposit not rolled over 5x. Received via Moneybookers.

So I'm not sure when they apply the rule you highlighted. Perhaps the rule is just aimed at disincentivising people from depositing, not betting through the deposit, and then withdrawing? Not sure.

Requiring to roll over the deposit one time is perfectly okay and nearly every bookie has this rule. But five times is just ridiculous in my eyes. If I deposit 500 Euros and have to roll over 2500 Euros with a wager limit of 10 Euros, well that's 250 bets before I am allowed to withdraw. But that's another story.
Concering "may","shall" or "will": After all the experience I've had with this bookie, I'm almost certain that they indeed mean "will"

UPDATE: 10Bet has re-graded my ticket and it has been settled correctly now. And they said they haven't received any e-mail by me. Well I guess they are telling the truth because my mails to SBR also disappeared. So I assume there has been a technical issue. Which is a little strange because I haven't received a failure notice from my mail provider and I've used the same e-mail adress to send and receive mail to and from other people in the past weeks which worked fine. Maybe it's only with certain servers. In any case, I have to apologize regarding my claim that 10Bet didn't answer my e-mails. I'm very sorry about that, but I was unaware of that technical issue and I therefore assumed that all my e-mails were ignored.

                    Good to hear, in-play.

If you want to withdraw it (which I'm guessing you do), perhaps you could e-mail and ask about the option of a free withdrawal?
