Hopefully checks will be available as a payout option again soon. They are currently unavailable but I was told they're working on a processor issue.

Been with them a very long time and never had an issue.

You have got to be kidding me. A month and you think that this is satisfactory? No wonder you guys lose so much.

Guys still using checks like it's 1972?

I'm going to give you a little cheat sheet, get a blockchain wallet and a bit pay card and your experience with 5dimes will be practically seamless.

If you don't like holding your money in Bitcoin because of the market volatility simply transfer it to the pay card the minute you receive it.

Whats sad is there is no mention of the card fraud on this site about 5dimes. Wise up people.

I take a minority view on 5dimes. They do everything every other book does: cut your limits and eventually show you the door but with the added bonus of infecting your computer with the MPSNARE / IESNARE suite of intrusion programs (ruled illegal in Britain, but still used as the "registered security" protocol by 5d).

But I recognize everyone else loves them to pieces.

Hey, nothing wrong with being a newbie. That's how we all start.

Y, Coinsbank's a UK incorporated company. It works the same way Bitpay works: you can take BTC you've got and load it for dollars at a competitive exchange rate, then use the card anywhere or withdraw cash at an ATM.

Companies like Bitpay and Coinsbank see privacy the same way you and I see it. They adhere to KYC and anti money laundering laws grudgingly and with a complete lack of relish. So if you sniff around the grey areas of things like your true ID and they twig on it they're more likely to laugh or, at worst, scold rather than actually ban you.

Bitcoin was designed to be anonymous, but it didn't accomplish that.

First, lots exchanges and wallets demand personal data from their users and because every transaction is publicly available, when crypto's sent to or from a wallet with your name on it, your anonymity is threatened.

Second, the blockchain's transparency means a 'frequency analysis' can be performed on the web of addresses of a person's transactions, even if they've opened them anonymously. As soon as any transaction hits a wallet that's known or suspected to be controlled by a person, his anonymity's blown.

That's how the bitcoin community caught the Winklevoss twins in a lie. For years they went around saying they'd never sold a single bitcoin, that they only acquired them. And, sure, that was true for the 20 or so addresses they publicly disclosed as theirs. But what they didn't count on was a bunch of anarchist crypto nerds to trace and analyze every transaction connected to any address known or suspected to be theirs until they followed the trail to some pretty actively traded addresses, with plenty of BTC sales. Oops.
