Chase and BkofAm have closed accounts but it seems to be rare. I haven't heard of any other banks closing accounts in the US. UK banks will close accounts.

Download Multibit for free. MultiBit is a secure, lightweight, international Bitcoin wallet.

        Multibit

I use Multibit Classic simply because I'm used to it from 3 years ago. I only keep less than 1 BTC on it and I back it up regularly. I use it mostly for transferring.

As far as mobile apps, I really like Mycelium wallet. When I go to my localbitcoins guy to buy or sell bitcoins I meet him at Starbucks, we agree to an amount per bitcoin, I then scan his cell phone with my Mycelium app and it gets transferred. It has a list of transactions and balance, etc.
