I'm having an issue withdrawing from Matchbook from Australia, hoping there might be some ideas on how I can overcome this. Issue is this:
When I opened the account I deposited using a Cr Card from a big 4 bank in Australia. Over the past month I have tried to withdraw 3 times and all have been rejected. Account is fully verified and identified but Matchbook are saying that the Bank are rejecting the deposit. I work for the bank in question and have spoken to our cards department and they have not rejected any deposits made by Triplebet Ltd (Matchbook).
I thought to get around the issue and save a plethora of emails I'd open a Neteller account and withdraw to that, but Matchbook have rejected that saying my withdrawal must go to the account I originally deposited from, which was the Cr card. However obviously I can't for reason stated above.
Here's the last email I got from Matchbook:
Hi XXXXX,
I can confirm that we have investigated the issue in great detail and we are familiar with this as being a prevalent problem suffered by Australian users.
The problem is the financial institution is blocking incoming funds from an online gaming website, in this case our site www.matchbook.com (Triplebet Ltd).
"Transaction not permitted to cardholder" and also "Merchant not recognized" are the error messages our processor is flagging as the reason for this transaction not being accepted.
We fully appreciate your frustration in this matter, but can reassure you this is a issue which is commonplace with Australian based customers due to varying legislation local to your jurisdiction.
Also, it is not our intent to make it difficult for you to withdraw these funds as we do not want to lose you as a valued customer.
If you could please speak with your bank again and explain we are an online gaming website (Triplebet Ltd) and inform them we are trying to make a payment to your account.
Please do visit us on live chat or phone to update us with the outcome.
Lastly I can assure you, that we will get this resolved for you.
Has anyone else in Australia come across this problem and if so, what's the best way to resolve?
