In all fairness, Canas from Betis started it when he gave Medel a love tap on the cheek, Medel responded with the same and Canas hit the turf like he was hit by Mike Tyson (after a slight delay no less). Neither "hit" amounted to much more than a tap. I know there are those who will say this is strategy, etc., but it makes the game bush league. Refs should red card the floppers and this sh*t will stop. Betis players spent the next 30 minutes hitting the ground every time a Sevilla player got near them, trying to draw free kicks. They didn't get the equalizer until they stopped being pansies and attacked; the tying header was a beauty.Comment -
yeah you are right. But it shouldnt be tht easy to wind Medel up like tht in the first place! They know beforehand how easy it is to get a reaction out of him so use it to their advantage...they need to have a psychologist sit with him before each game and try and program him into having controlled aggression or something!Comment -
I don't know they players like you do, but you're right, it's on the player to keep his cool. I just hate when the refs reward punk ass moves. The flopping and trying to mislead is more unsportsmanlike than a player chiding a ref for disagreeing with a call. They did cover my live over bet, so all is well

Unfortunately it's a standard thing in Spanish football (but not exclusive to just Spain) and nothing will ever be done about it because it's ingrained in the culture. It's almost like it's part of the "entertainment factor"... it adds to the drama of the whole thing...it's not supported/encouraged, but at same time it's not condemned. Fading Macclesfield again like I did earlier in week when I backed Mansfield -1 A.H., and should of done again on Thursday when they were away at Newport. They now have to play their third away game in a row and in the space of 5 days. Woking on other hand have had a week's rest since their 2-0 win against promotion chasing Wrexham last Saturday so should be much fresher. Unfortunately Woking's top-scorer Bradley Bubb isn't fit yet after injury which is stopping me from going big on this.
You can tell from Macclesfield's Manager Askey's comments yesterday that he doesnt have much hope of them winning this game and that his side aren't in good condition currently...

We were beaten at Newport, but did you feel 4-1 was a fair reflection?
“We did feel a little bit hard done by especially after taking an early lead, it could have been different. But it’s tough for us at the moment. With the number of games we’ve played and the travelling we’ve had to do this week, there are some of them who are on their knees at the moment.
"But in the second half we had a go, but couldn’t get a goal.”
And what about Woking, another long trip with tired legs?
“In normal circumstances this season it’s probably a game we’d think we had a very good chance of getting a result. But these aren’t normal circumstances, and I think we’re down to 12 players fit at the moment. So we go into the game with one arm tied behind our backs, and unable to make any changes to take the fatigue into account. But they will go out and give as much as they can and hopefully be able to enjoy their football and get the result we all want.”
So we have more injury concerns?
“We already had Morgan Smith and Barnes-Homer out of action, but we’ve lost Ennes Fermino with a hamstring problem and Carl Martin isn’t fully fit after his operation. Craig Braham-Barrett missed out on Thursday with a knock as well. Obviously we can’t bring anyone in, and the lads will have to put in another shift. But then we have a full week off before Cambridge, and hopefully we’ll be able to sign off with a win.”
