I believe that once you know english and maybe another latin language all the rest it just peanuts, especially if you get the chance to practice

I'm only fluent in French, English, and German. I 'know' Spanish and Swedish. In Québec, I learned French and English. And I went to school in Zürich and worked in München (miss Oktoberfest
) hence the German. I learned Spanish for a girl from Colombia. And I learned Swedish for a girl from Norrbotten. You know how it goes... 
I know what you mean, the worst two for me is German and Swedish because there's loads of similarities, and both have their fair share with English. Most of my command words are French, and I don't know the English version since that's how my mom scolded me. (Example: I most of the time say 'écoutez', then 'escuchame' because I can't think of 'listen to me' when with American friends.) But at any rate, learning Russian as a Spanish speaker just seems pretty damn tough. I learned russian with my gf basically! I mean I study about a year in the University, but that was a group of foregneirs lerning russian, 5 of us knew spanish and 3 french, and between us we spoke english
Only when I found a girl I started speaking russian, I also have to say I was lucky that my gf didn't know english or spanish (then i though it was awful) casue that helped me just speak russian and learn new words!
After that I've had couple of gf that knew spanish but already when I knew how to speak in russian!
I have a friend now that is already in first year of University, but he doesn't understand a sh*t! Not all cause he met this girl when he was studying russian, she knows spanish so he never spoke in russian!Comment -
