PLAY #144: [EUROPA LEAGUE] AZ-BATE OVER 2.5 [-112]
BATE is already through to the knockout rounds, but will be looking to book the top spot in the group potentially based on their result along with that of Dynamo Kiev. When these two met earlier in the group stages, BATE crushed AZ 4-1. AZ has conceded in all five group stage matches thus far with multiple goals yielded in three of those. BATE has tallied 11 goals in five matches with a goal conceded in all but one of those matches. With this match going at the same time as Dynamo Kiev, BATE will not have the luxury of knowing what they need to do in this one ... so I expect their best effort and AZ should continue their attacking ways in front of their home crowd in their final foray in Europa League play.

AZ is pretty strong at home. They've only lost two of their last 15 at home. One was to Dynamo Kiev in the EL.

PLAY #145: [EUROPA LEAGUE] NAPOLI-STEAUA BUCURESTI OVER 2.5 [-124]
Good scenario here for goals I believe with Napoli needing a win to advance and the Romanians needing a draw or better. Napoli has now given up three goals in three of its last four EL matches. That includes three to Steaua Bucuresti when the teams met in Bucharest. Admittedly those defensive lapses have come on the road, but the Romanians have scored in all five of their EL matches so they will be tested in Italy. The Romanians in fact have scored and conceded in each EL match. Both managers have talked a good game about attacking again and not playing it safe. I think if the Romanians breach the Italian defense in this one, then the shot of hitting this will be pretty solid.

PLAY #146: [INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY] QATAR-EGYPT OVER 2/2.5 [-113]
The hosts, Qatar, have conceded in five straight friendlies. They have scored in three of those. If you go back a few more matches beyond that, that form holds true for three more matches where they have scored and conceded. Egypt comes here off a 3-0 win over Australia in November in Cairo. Egypt rarely gets shut out from scoring, so I expect they will put one in the back of the net and you'd have to think the hosts want to show strong from the home crowd. I think the worst case here should be two goals and a half stakes loss. Remember though this is a "friendly" so theoretically anything can happen. Starts at 10am ET.

City can win their group with a simple draw here most likely. Lech Poznan would need to win by four goals I believe over Salzburg to make up the goal differential to claim first. Juventus has played to all draws so far, so why not try another with that set-up in mind. Levski Sofia won't be progressing from here, but they are unbeaten in their two home matches in this group with a win and draw. Sporting soundly defeated them 5-0, but will be resting players with the top spot in this group sewn up. That could mean a draw would be a solid result for both sides.

PLAY #147: [EUROPA LEAGUE] AEK PK [+102]
The Greeks need a draw at worst here to guarantee progression to the next rounds of the Europa League. They host Zenit-St.Petersburg who are through already at the top of the group with five wins in five matches. The Russians only incentive here could be to keep their perfect record intact, but with their domestic league already finished, the Russians are likely to send out some reserves today which should aid AEK. The Russians beat the Greeks soundly [4-2] when they met in Russia. AEK though has been superb on their home pitch with their last loss coming in December 2009, a span of 23 matches without a defeat. For me, with the Greeks in the position of needed anything but a defeat to qualify over Anderlecht, taking the PK line here is solid at slightly better than even money. This could very well end up in a draw if AEK chooses simply to play for the point and guarantee to advance. However, AEK could also get a win though over a lesser Zenit squad if they run out some reserves.
