PLAY #130: [CHAMPIONS LEAGUE] BENFICA-SCHALKE OVER 2.5 [-123]
Both teams come into this clash with something to play for - Schalke with a chance to finish at the top of this group and Benfica looking to finish 3rd to qualify for the Europa League. Schalke won the first meeting 2-0 at home. Benfica has had troubles keeping the ball out of the net, yielding multiple goals in each of their last four CL matches. Benfica has been very good scoring goals at home with multiple goals in eight of their last nine at home seeing the Portugese side score at least twice. I think the potential to see both sides score is good here with both unlikely to not give their best today and with a win for either side meaning something, I think that 3rd goal or better to secure an OVER is possible. Schalke is the key for me. If the Germans score, which they have not done that well in CL road play, I like this to get done.Comment -

Cluj has nothing to play for but pride at home today, while Roma needs a point to secure a spot in the knockout stages. Roma must come to play today as well because a loss here and a Basel win over an already-advanced Bayern Munich would see the Italians miss out on the KO stages. The first meeting between these two found Roma on top 2-1. Cluj has had some troubles scoring in the last two match days against Bayern & Basel with no goals, while allowing five. Roma have seen goals attached to all their group stage clashes with four straight hitting for three or more goals after losing their opener to Bayern [2-0] on the road. Roma has conceded multiple goals in each of the last three CL matches, while scoring seven in that span. Roma have not had issues scoring on the road in Europe and domestically, tallying nine goals in their last five road matches. They have had problems stopping the opposition though with just two clean sheets away from home in eleven road matches since their domestic campaign revved up in August. With Roma certain to want to leave nothing to chance today, I expect them to come with a strong performance and the Romanians have nothing to lose, so they should be out to entertain their fans which could lead to some open play in this one.
