Ally Banking?

Does anyone here bank with Ally Banking. Im moving a large portion of my money from BkofAma to Ally and things have gone very smoothly so far. Just wondering if anyone else here has an account with them

No branches, just atms, remeber new accounts they will put a week hold on your funds you deposited by check, might be usefull to find what amount and how long

open a checking acct if you haven't already. you don't get an atm card with only a savings acct.

Got declined, they do a heavy credit check. Fukkers never even sent me documentation about it like all banks are supposed to. Guy on phone sounded like a mega douche

Banks decline new checking accounts?? I thought that was just for cre.dit ca.rds and things like that.

If banks write off negative balances on checking accounts, it is reported to the credit agencies.

Ally pulls a credit check as well as some others. Citi does too. Most local banks do chexsystems. I have a bad history with banks and was declined at a local but was approved at another local. Also BkofAma is very lenient and easy to get

Ahh, okay, didn't know that. I've been with BkofAma since I was in college, and that was back in the days before everything was ran through a dang computer to see if you're worthy enough of doing business with them.

been banking with them for a year.....pretty decent interest rates for checking account....unlimited ATM fees reimbursement which is pretty sweet.....hard to withdrawal large amounts of cash though as max is $500 at ATM per day and they won't let you go over that
