I got mine on my lower back after tearing a lower back muscle in 2010. The procedure was not as bad as everyone made it out to be, yeah you can't move but just relax. Maybe it helped that the lady who administered it gave me a radio headset so I could listen to Rush Limbaugh and get my mind off of the scan.

I've had a number of MRIs on my knees. Tore my ACL twice.
They don't hurt at all, but you get a bit bored trying to stay completely still for 4-5 minutes at a time.
