#44No all I am saying is that if you eat a number of calories that are below what you need you will lose weight even if your eating carbs which you said is scientifically incorrect. By your logic Phelps would be gaining massive amounts of weight. It just bringa it back to calories in vs calories out which you disputed so this is a perfect example of someone eating loads of carbs but since their calories in equal calories burned he is not gaining weight. Works for everyone, except you need less calories cause your activity level is obviously not as high as Phelps.Comment -

#47TT, I gotta ask, is your mom purposely trying to sabatoge your diet? Seems like you were going strong until your mom made those dishes...not sure why she would do that.
Some interesting things in this thread and most people never learn about how carbs trips your insulin production and the damage that can occur when people consistently consume carb loaded diets. Several studies have recently linked carbs to heart disease, not fat and red meats. Though we disagree on a lot of things, I'm cheering you on.Comment -

You're so damn caught up between extreme articles for either bodybuilding or body transformation diets that if you would just eat ONE burger and not two or have a bowl of chips and not an entire bag and just walk run a little everyday you would be just fine. There is a reason the guys you see in magazines or in a movie role do a specific training routine fore 3-5 months before the images are taken to get their body to that level...it's not an everyday walking around weight. It cannot be kept up nor is it healthy.
Bodybuilders have a pre-event routine the same as actors/models. Look at the dude from 300....was ripped as hell for the movie and joked in all the interviews how he was so weak all the time or would try and sneak away from the trailer for just one bite of food etc....look at his body for the film then look at him in other movies (the bounty hunter chic flick one)
Bottom line if you're 300 pounds then the muscle mags and so forth are going to do you any good if you have average muscle mass covered by 80 pounds of blubber...you need to run that shitt off and slowly cut your food intake so that your body doesnt go into starvation mode in your head and you gorge yourself.Comment -

#56Gets your body working optimally. If you don't get a decent source of protein in the morning, basically running at 85% all day.
And I don't know the logic behind it, but its well known that consuming meals late in the evening is one of the worst things you can do if you're trying to lose weight. Shouldn't eat anything, especially carbs, after like 8pm.
Explains perfectly why TT can eat 1 meal a day (cause its at 1am) and still have a higher fat content than lard.Comment -

Tennis, well I haven't played in 4 years but I'm pretty sure all I have to do is go cross court, down the line, then cross court again and you ain't going to get to all three of those.

#61Urban myth tito.
This is truth, bad carbs are bad and good carbs are good. Same with fats. Fill your diet with veggies, fruits, protein and healthy fats. Timing is only important during show prep. Eat 3x's a day or 5x's a day, doesn't matter.
Stay active. Very active. Sex is an activity.
Most everyone has access now to the correct knowledge and know how. People fail because lack of will-power.
Thats it. My guess is if everyone on SBR followed the above info, no more or less (other than identifying what good and bad is with examples) 95% of the people that stuck to it for 90 days would be in the best shape of their lives at completion.
The sad thing, it really is that simple.Comment -

I agree though wholeheartedly, cut snack foods out of your diet and eat somewhat healthy (choose subway over MCD, chipotle over taco bell) and as long as you skip the sour cream and the really fatty stuff, that alone is enough for me to start losing weight.Comment -

#67Typical fat idiot. Lazy, excuse-making, bullshitting himself. And best thing is: All of you are paying for fat lazy motherfukkers like him with our insurcance rates and health care costs. America makes it so easy for people to be obese, it's crazy. Actually you shouldn't teach your kids to be calm and say nothing or look away, but instead to point a finger every time they see another fatty-fatty bang-bang rolling by in an electric scooter and make fun of them with sounds and stuff. Fat people cost your economy 45 billion extra per year. And these obese donkeys are totally cool with it. They shouldn't be allowed to fly, to go to the movies, to visit restaurants and bars or buy coke and chips. Until they start to care about it.
Anyone ever sat in a plane near such a fukking hippopotamus? Sweating, gasping and smelling? I did. And I am not the slightest bit tolerant anymore. I have zero problems making comments to them.
Seriously, fat fukks using scooters, lmao. We should cut their legs off, so they have a real need to use them.
There are diseases that can make you fat. Ok, fine, you're excused. But not a single as.s that is just too damn lazy to stay in somewhat healthy shape is.Comment -

#69His calorie intake remains the same. Mine drops by eating healthier foods, because I eat to the same fullness, but it requires less calories. Most people are about as full after a footlong sub (assuming somewhat healthy subway option) and 2-3 double cheeseburgers (MCD), you can get away eating the sub everyday, not the double cheeseburgers.
Also, note that his diet is extremely unhealthy and unsustainable as he states.
But the point that he proved pretty much killed all the misinformation out there: You can lose a sizeable amount of body fat by eating complete crap junk food (twinkies, cupcakes, cookies, chips, etc.), as long as you eat in a caloric deficit.Comment -

#70Surprising that it never got more press, it was a pretty cool study, and totally disproved what most everyone thought.
Me personally, if I were to eat enough to be full off of only junk food, I would have to eat over 6000 calories a day to feel full. That's all I was trying to say, that for most people, you are going to eat the about same amount most days. A lot easier to stay under our caloric intake if that's salad and wheat bread vs. a quarter pounder.Comment
