How Ermey didn't get an Academy Award for this blows my mind. He made the movie. The first half ranks up there with the best. After Hartman was killed, the movie drags a bit, but still pretty good.

1st half of that movie was great, but it really fell off after boot camp.
I enjoy Fast times at Ridgemont High.
boot camp is 90% comedy, 10% drama
afterwards is 10% comedy, 90% drama

I love great dialogues on film, this film has the best dialogues ever shot in a restroom lol, when they come in to drink and snort yayo for hours hiding from the party itself. Chicks come in and go of course, to steal some bumps.
London is a 2005 independent film centering on a Manhattan party. The movie, produced by Paul Davis-Miller & Bonnie Timmermann, was directed and written by Brian "Hunter" Richards. It stars Jessica Biel, Chris Evans, Jason Statham, Joy Bryant, Dane Cook, Kat Dennings and Louis C.K.
After arriving at the party at the condominium belonging to the parents of club girl Rebecca (Isla Fisher), Bateman and Syd install themselves in the bathroom, where they snort line after line of cocaine, guzzle tequila and discuss love, sex, God, women and pain. Over the course of the night and a massive pile of blow, Bateman tells Syd to get on with his life.
