Honestly I do understand why you want to see a big change in how your country is run. And I genuinely would like it to turn out well. For all the members of our alliance. But from the outside looking in, and thinking mostly about world affairs, not domestic issues. The guy is really acting like a school yard bully drunk on power who can't see how easy he is making it for a big serving of comeuppance to take aim at him at some point. I think a fair bit of semi permanent damage has already been done.

As far as whether black numbers are fudged, it sounds plausible. But for me, I'm pretty sure there are genuine reasons that the most talented and elite do not get the same chance to compete for status/employment as the majority, and a DEI program that made sure those people could be better used to the benefit of us all is a good thing.

I also kind of think that if you are against DEI and the main reason is due it to creating anti-merit based hires, then you really should be opposed to any sort of group based supremacy that sees those people filling positions with less merit, like how by default whites with anglo names can gain position and cruise along more easily than a black person or someone with an non-white sounding name. Just food for thought.

And BTW, I am mostly pissy at the moment due to the guy preaching loyalty above all being so disloyal to my country and me personally really. The same place that shows more loyalty to the USA than a bloody lap dog.

Again, I don’t know your perspective in Oz, but in America, I just see him giving the American left a dose of their own medicine.

I don’t know how you mean “fudged”, but US census date shows the average ages of the groups. I can tell you in my early-mid 30s, I wasn’t doing well, and now in my mid 40s, I’m doing great. That’s just because of gaining skill and experience, not oppressing others.

One problem with DIE is that it doesn’t fix things on an individual level, it is based on group justice and is fine with people falling through the cracks. The left in America loves to talk about redlining and the negative effects it had on black and hispanic Americans, but it hurt a lot of whites as well. The thing is, they don’t care that it hurt whites since it doesn’t further their narrative.

Another problem with it is it doesn’t get to the root of the problem, it just papers it over. The education system in the US is a joke, but since there’s really no political profit in the left fixing it, and I doubt the republicans in leadership positions know why it doesn’t work, it doesn’t get the overhaul it needs.

People with Asian sounding names tend to do just fine as well. In America, Asians tend to do better than whites that have family here for generations. The groups whose names tend to hold them back also tend to have higher crime rates. I know, I know, it's so politically incorrect (political correctness coming from communism to push a false narrative). The higher crime is supposedly due to past discrimination, despite the vast majority of people with that past being likely to never commit a crime more serious than a moving violation.

I remember when she was a moderator in the debate in 2016 when Trump said "only Rosie O'Donnell. Megyn went to see Trump at Trump tower to basically apologize. Trump said it took a lot of guts to do that and that he didn't know if he could do what she did.

She's like so many smart people who can admit when they are wrong and not be married to a political party or political ideology for their entire lives if the party lost its way. I mean, she was always a conservative, but after leaving FOX, she got her own show on NBC. Kind of a strange move but its happened before. Tucker Carlson used to work for MSNBC and CNN at one time. On her show, she didn't think it was such a big deal to dress up as another race for halloween. Big deal. These are kids having fun going around asking for candy. Of course she made the mistake of apologizing to the audience but I suppose if you had 69 million left of your contract, you might just do it and move on. She did and then they dumped her. Woke cancel culture at its infancy. Nevermind that Tropic Thunder starred Downey JR as Black face and Jimmy Kimmel as Karl Malone. They were liberals. She wasn't. She had to go.

She also admitted she fell into the 'woke think' by using people's preferred pronouns. She won't do it anymore. Neither will I. It's dumb. I will never call a guy dressed up as a women, zer or hers or anything stupid like that. I will call them by their name like I would anyone else.

Now she has her own podcast and its one of the biggest in the US and one of the best. She's bright and she is real. Easy to look at also. I listen to her show all the time on YouTube.
