I really don't know. I was not intimately involved, so I can't know for certain. I personally think we should not be trying US presidents. That's my take but I understand people that say that no one is above the law. I just think the backlash is not worth it.

But, this article by the BBC (who I think is very impartial, not left or right) sums up the case. The burden of proof was on the prosecution and they pretty much nailed it. They presented dozens of documents, including checks with Trumps signature on them. Do you believe Trump knowingly paid hush money? If you do, then case closed.

Jurors do a job. No one wants to convict an innocent man, even Trump. If one of them felt something was not right, they would have hung the court. They came to that decision unanimously and pretty quickly. Trump didn't have a defense. It was pretty much an open and shut case. But even with all the evidence, he has you believing he did nothing wrong. He is better than OJ.
