I worked in the cable industry for 6 years. I was on the disconnect end of things and bill collecting. I worked in the "hood". Want to know why your cable bill is so high to begin with other than greed? Because they play the system. They order it. Don't pay their bill. Then, they call back and say they just moved in to the home and get it new and don't pay bill and repeat the cycle. The cable company generally doesn't card/ID them. It takes this to go on for a few years it seems before they demand someone go to the office with identification to get service.

There are ways to just do it online as well. Lots of ways to fool these stupid companies. This happened everywhere I went in the different "hoods". They all have cable, but none of them pay. They play the system with cable just like they do with welfare.

I will never work in that industry ever again. It's the biggest P.O.S. bullsh*t you'll ever come across. Good riddens. Just don't be too mad at Uncle Buck for pimpin' his neighbor for cable.....
