mid way through repairing an old antique chair. Was thinking this glue could help the task. See the commercials on tv and wondered if it is good or not.

It's great if you are just trying to repair something for strength, and not so much what the end result looks like.

Yeah, its strong as hell but is only a little bit because it creates a huge yellow puff that emerges out the sides and looks like shit

Always been a fan of that Krazy Glue. Used it my entire life... probably about 30 years now. Of course not every application is best suited for that kind of glue... but it works for me.
Always wondered the same thing about gorilla glue and other types of glue on the market.

Best glue out there. Much better than Crazy glue. Worth the price.

Solid stick is Gorilla Glue.. Probably better then Super or Krazy Glue..
Liquid nails will bond anything together that's wood like nothing else also..

I work in the maintenance department in a hotel where the mangager's only priority is more money for the owners, which is another way of saying that I can't get him to approve the things I need to do my job. Gorilla Glue is fantastic stuff. I've used it to repair wood furniture and do some exterior slate mending.
And cincykid--I've also tried the Flex Seal on various applications for the same reason as you--it looked great in the commercial where the dude is on a boat made of the stuff. It is one step above worthless. Same goes for the Flex Seal tape that they sell. Don't get on the boat with that guy!

If you are repairing wood, use some wood glue and a clamp. Don't over think it.

It's good shit but nothing beats electrical and duct tape for a real tough job.
