I've watched a 3D printed rifle fire off 50 shots without breaking. And I've seen one break after the first shot. Not all of the gun is 3D printed, there are still needed metal parts in it.

Only 3d rifle I've watched that seemed decent had lots of parts metal compared to the usual 3d gun with couple parts metal

If you are in a gunfight you will lose if the opponent has steel weapons and you are shooting with plastic weapons. A 3D weapon will overheat and melt in a rapid rate of fire.
