        2 days is very short,
Where you staying? Which resort if Disney,
We take the Kids and grand kids every few years.
Are you in Military or retired military, Shades of green is nice and has discount military tickets
Get your tickets and reservations asap so you can book fast passes ASAP.
You can same some money staying at Disney if you book hotels through
Travelocity or cheaptickets Both usually have about 15% codes you can find online
they will have same prices as disney plus discount on top.
Park tickets are expensive figure 110 a day PP, and if you want a Disney character meal
You can book those now even before you get tickets or hotel, the good ones get booked fast.
If going in the summer lines will be long and hot/humid, so We would go to Parks first ting in morning until parade
take a break at the pool in the afternoon then back at night for closing show and fireworks
I take it you'll have a car but use the disney buses, monorail, or ferry, disney charges at parks for parking.
Magic Kingdom defiantly, the Epcot or Hollywood studios depending on what the kid is into.
Check Disney calendar for early and late days and who is doing parades or fireworks when

        Check out mousesavers dot com
        tons of good info

You should at least spend half a day at Animal Kingdom. The safari is great and the Yeti roller coaster is a lot of fun. Probably too scary for young kids though.

Epcot is kind of weird these days, when it was built it was supposed to be futuristic but they haven't changed much in years so now it's kind of retro. World showcase is fun to walk around if you haven't before though. Magic Kingdom be sure to do the 7 dwarfs ride and get a hot dog at Casey's corner.

Yeah it is pretty outrageous these days

If u wanted to stay somewhere good in Disney like Polynesian ur talking several hundred a night. EVERYTHING is way overpriced but they do let u bring in drinks and snacks of ur own now I think

If you're taking a 6 year old, best bets would probably be Animal Kingdom (see the animals) and Magic Kingdom (classic Disney experience). If he's into Star Wars, I would consider Hollywood Studios since that's where the Star Wars attractions are.
However, (at least from previous experience with the family) you won't be able to fully experience a park in a day. It took us about 2 days to experience everything in one of the parks.
If 2 days can't be extended, expect to fully experience one park or half experience 2 parks in those 2 days.

Was last there in 2013 and stayed at an Embassy Suites that was nearby (it recently opened at the time) and loved the room, especially the free breakfast. Big room to relax in and was near plenty of restaurants you could pick up dinner and eat in the room. However, I would highly recommend having a rental car if staying there.

With your 6 year old I would recommend Magic Kingdom both days. You can bring a backpack with snacks if you do not want to buy everything in the parks. I would stay on property if even at the value resorts. The Disney transportation and extra magic hours are worth it. You will be surprised how much your son can ride. Most likely everything at MK except possibly space mountain. Been several times if you want to message me with questions. As someone mentioned getting there before the park opens is key. You can ride as much in two hours when it opens as in six hours later. Get there when it opens and have your fast passes start around 11. Fast pass Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, Splash Mountain and Space Mountain as they have the longest lines. Have an awesome time!!!

Just did it with family....get fast pass before you go. MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME FOR OUR RIDES WITH FAST PASS. IF YOU R STAYING ON GROUNDS AND EATING AT SIT DOWN DINNER RESTAURANTS, YOU NEED THOSE RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME. SOME OF OUR RESERVATIONS FOR FAST PASS AND DINNER WERE NOT MADE BEFORE WE WENT TO DWORLD. THE CONCIERGE AT THE HOTEL(ON DISNEY GROUNDS) CAME THROUGH AND WAS ABLE TO CARE OF THE REST. IF YOUR BOY IS 6, HE SHOULD SPEND BOTH DAY AT MAGIC KINGDOM(IF HE WAS NEVER THEIR). HE NEEDS IT TO HIT THE WHOLE PARK.

WE ATE AT THE WAVE IN THE CONTEMPORARY ONE NIGHT. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. THE ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN MAGIC KINGDOM IS GOOD. MAKE YOUR RESERVATION FOR 7:30. THAT WAY YOU JUST STEP OUTSIDE WHILE EATING TO SEE THE FIREWORKS AT 8:00 PM AND COME BACK IN AND FINISH DINNER. THEY DON'T MIND AT ALL.

ENJOY WE HA A BLAST AND SPENT THREE DAYS AT MAGIC KINGDOM...WE WERE HERE FEB. 28.

Animal kingdom is really less then a half day park, the safari is good didnt get to ride roller coaster
and forget about trying to ride the avatar ride (4hr wait)
Could for about $30 more get hopper tickets so you can go into more then 1 park a day.
Hollywood studios does have starwars stuff(the land isnt open yet) and the just opened Toy Story World.
Could always do a day at one of their water parks Kids love those and its a little cheaper.

Also about fast pass and dinner RSVPs make something ASAP
but keep checking back, People change or cancel their vacations
so then you can change into something you really might want.
But at least you'll have something planned/booked

The ride, “Soarin”, at Epcot is a 10 on the 10 scale. Test Track at Epcot feels dated but it’s still fun to take kids on.

If you want to save some cash on lodging but don’t want to stay in a dump, I recommend Caribe Royale. They have a great pool and it’s not far from Magic Kingdom.

                                        Magic Kingdom is a must
                                        If your son is into:
Star Wars go with Hollywood Studies
                                        Animals/Dinosours go Animal Kingdom
If only going two days check with a site like https://www.undercovertourist.com/or...rowd-calendar/ to pick the best day to select which park and which days. It can really make a difference especially if staying on site when it comes to Magic Hours.

I just went to Disney. Guy above is right you need to book your fast passes and plan out your day, or you are going to not get many rides in and spend most your day in line. It kind of takes away from trying to get a relaxing vacation, but is what it is. I wonder what Walt Disney would think of this fast pass nonsense. It seems like a perk but it's really not because it just increases all of the waits without fastpass. In the end the same amount of people are getting through their rides, but it adds stress to a vacation that's unnecessary. You don't really have a choice not to participate in the fastpass game once it's implemented if you want to be able to get in more than a few rides. Rant aside...

In Daytona go to North Turn restaurant. Good food and has seating right on the beach or inside.

Florida is cool for road trips too. Go see some alligators or a random secluded beach. I usually spend at least one day on my vacation driving around exploring different parts and their restaurants.

In the end the same amount of people are getting through their rides, but it adds stress to a vacation that's unnecessary. You don't really have a choice not to participate in the fastpass game once it's implemented if you want to be able to get in more than a few rides. Rant aside...
Universal is even worse, they charge $100 a day for "Express pass", and it's the same as fast pass, the people who have it skip in front and the people with regular tix wait longer. Definition of a racket

BTW, fast pass would probably be the least of Walt Disney's worries if he came back today
