Ladies are not smarter...great post. I think alot of it us judgement and men are often very much in tune with that because of sports. Judgement as to distance etc...men use that like for driving. Women have the looks and are very nice..but no way smarter

I may not know how smart Shari is and I may not know how smart you are jj but I think the chances of you being smarter than say... Judit Polgar are slim to none. For any Chess geeks out there... you know that reaching an ELO Chess rating of of 2735 is no joke. I think men "being smarter" than women is mostly just an illusion.

What I want to know is... how come there are so few women pilots? I've never once been on a plane where a woman was flying it. I don't think intelligence is a factor but I find it odd that there are so few women pilots.

Generally speaking, women are more attractive than men. So the prettier the young lady, the more things, money, and opportunities are simply handed to her. We all know this. Therefore, pretty women tend to not develop skills to earn and build wealth - they don't need to. All they need to do is market themselves as well as they can.

It is not the woman's fault, and from an intelligence perspective - I don't think there is much difference. But in "applied" intelligence there is definitely a big difference.

I'd guess this is likely the case, but knowledge isn't intelligence, though usually they do go hand in hand.

Again, being smart does less for fitness for women compared to men, so that's why men evolved to be the way they are.

Again, the sexes are different. Much different. But remember we have kids and pass IQ on to both girls and boys, of course. What they do with it, or need to do with it, is another question.

The obvious thing that nobody has mentioned yet is how subjective "being smart" is. Who would you consider to be smarter... a person who knows a lot of answers(questions) on Jeopardy but is terrible at things like Chess and solving puzzles like Rubik's Cubes and similar things. Or... a person who is terrible at Jeopardy but is good at games like Chess and solving things like Rubik's Cubes. I tend to place more emphasis on people's ability to solve problems than I do with people's general knowledge but there are many people who disagree with me about what actually makes a person "smart".
