2 police officers murdered in Palm Springs tonight

Shooter's father said his son wanted to kill cops. Called in a family disturbance and when the officers walked up he opened fire. One officer, female, just returned from maternity leave and leaves a 4 month old baby girl with no mother. The other was a cop who has worked for 35 years and due to retire in December.
