I do like my job, but like any job it can be stressful at times. I work for a small company, so there isn't any employer sponsoured pension plan (yet), which really sucks. Everything else is great though. There is no micro management, which I love. I am given a budget and can spend within it as I see fit.

What do I do? Warehouse coordinator/purchaser/delivery driver/fleet maintenance for a small but fast growing company. It's pretty neat to have a desk 12 feet away from the CEO of the company.

Sucks when you mess shit up , but failure is a part of being successful.
And no I'm not a micro manager. A successful manager allows you to manage yourself. Or that's how I see it and the philosophy that I have followed. We go over info , detail, etc . But how you do it and time constraints, that's your part to "manage" .

If someone isn't getting the job done or is taking advantage of certain things you can have a talk or whatever but no point in micro managing when it's not necessary

One of the Senior VPs at my office is constantly spying on people's lunch break times, constantly analyzes the check in log, and all kinds of other ridiculous shit.......Always says sarcastic and pasive-aggressive comments to people, mostly about time or breaks......like dude you gotta have better shit to do, let the VP's of the departments handle it if a problem arises

you hit the jackpot my friend....i was once hired and not too long after I worked very closely with owner and management, really it was just hard work and loyalty and I was in...Crazy part was that I didn't need the job but when you collaborate with the right people you start building something that can evolve into something great...so maybe you aren't no1...no2 just behind a millionaire genius is not a bad position
