It's amazing that today in 2015 that there are civilizations that still act barbaric like this. I have seen many videos over the years of Islamic women being publicly humiliated, tortured, beaten, and brutally killed. A few years ago a video surfaced of a 16 year old girl that was brutally stoned in the street after she was stripped naked and left to die in a huge pool of her own blood. And the people that did it were her own relatives. 100's of people cheered as men smashed her head open with huge chunks of rock. Sickening.Comment -
God has given you at least two tools; your ability to reason and your ability to research. Truth is always truth no matter if a culture recognizes it or not. Both Islam and Christianity cannot both be true. Either one is right and the other is wrong, or both are wrong. That is for your mind and heart to decide through study and prayer. It's "most perfect" prophet killed, conquered, fought in 66 battles, tortured, married up to 20 times, including an 8 year old, didn't preform any miracles, was illeteriate, thought he was possessed when recieving his revelation, and his body is rotting in Medina somewhere. Anyone with any reason and acess to a library can see that Islam was created for political reasons to unify the Arab state by using half-truths Muhammod heard from his wife's Christian cousin ( who was a heretical Christian) and by changing revelation according to how many followers he had. Without conquests, Muhammod only made 60 converts in 12 years to the pagans. Read the context of that passage. Jesus is talking about the divsions that would come between families over their belief in Him. In that way He has come and caused division.
Here are some peaceful verses:
- (Mark 9:50) - "Salt is good; but if the salt becomes unsalty, with what will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another."
- (John 14:27) - "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
- (John 16:33) - "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace..."
- (Acts 10:36) - "The word which He sent to the sons of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all)."
