ACoochy, I'm currently reading a book that sort of talks about this called:

The book is 150 or so short essays by different people talking about what we should really be worried about. It's an interesting book but not very many of the theory's scare me much.

What really scares me is 21st century destructive technology combined with iron age philosophies/religious ideas. I won't mention any religions(for fear of getting killed) but if some of these martyrs/nutjobs get a hold of nuclear weapons we are all doomed.
