You should have just told them youre in school, thats what I always did and they always said ok and that was that. 3 times same story. I refuse to do jury duty.

They aren't letting ppl slide anymore with bullshit excuses. At least not as much.
You get one pass now.
All the immigrants who try and say they don't know English etc. can only get away with that once as well.
Hard to say you can't speak the language time after time when you've been in the fkn country for 10 years.

i will tell u what i did.

i showed up wearing a coors light tank top and jean shorts and the judge sent me home. Easy done. Big Bear beat the system.

I had jury duty once I was juror #1 to be interviewed to see if I made the cut.
They asked if I heard of this case in the news, in which i didnt.
Then they asked what I thought of domestic violence, which what the case was about.
I said something like, she probability deserved it
I was dismissed right there.
I in no way believe in domestic violence, I just didnt want to sit there for a week.
But my job gave me the week off with pay for jury duty.

My job doesnt pay you to be there so if you get a case that lingers basically your fuked

Did it last year. I told them that I could tell if someone was guilty just by looking at them and I still got selected. It wasn't so bad. I think I even got paid about $46.

took half day to get picked
one day to appear and the case had been settled out of court, that just took another hour, i got lucky

have heard horror stories though, so gl w/ your experience

they gave me a paper saying i don't have to do it for another 10 years, so that's pretty cool

If the defendant is in the court room tell his attorney that he shoulda told the defendant to dress better because he just looks guilty.

When I went to my Jury Duty selection, there were over 100 people that didn't show up and they actually did a news report on it and said they were going to start fining people $100 or more who didn't come for the selection process. I still don't see how they can prove that the notice got delivered to you though.

So I gave real answers I fiured they group you in 24 and choose 6
They picked all day today it probably ends tomm morning
It wasnt that bad

It's easy to get out of. Depends if it's civil or criminal. If civil state that you believe in tort reform and that ambulence chasing lawyers are not entitled to a percetage of a large settlement. If it's criminal state that either the defendant is definitely guilty because after all he was arrested & looks guilty OR that you could never believe anything a cop says. After all they would say/do anything to protect themselves or one of their colleagues. Be dividingly firm in your beliefs/statement and I guarantee one side will recuse you for sure. All else fails, tell 'em you're a Budhist and it's against your religion to pass judgement on another.
