Dont think you can call him a genius when he is using someone else's song format and simply mocking it, actually it shows his uncreativity. Anybody can mock a character or song.

Only 1/2(or less) of his songs are actual parodies and the rest are all originals.

I never hear anyone give any bands like Metallica shit for just covering songs(And they have covered quiet a few) Weird Al actually takes a song and alters it into a song about something else and many times it is actually just as good as the original. And if anyone could do it, they why aren't they?

Who else wants to be that guy, the guy who parodies songs of famous artists, what head of a label wants to sign that guy. I give him mad props for being around so long, I just wouldnt call him a genius, I remember his songs when a child and because I was young use to watch Eat It and other songs but I dont see genius, genius for longevity and still making money, probably millions? Ok I can live with that, but Im sure the guy wishes he was a real talent long ago and didnt need to approach the game the way he did.
