Hm that's a tough one again.
One of our Deutsches Reinheitsgebot (German purity law) is: basically all our beer is equally great. You'll have a hard time finding one that is really bad. Of course their are differences, but no major ones.
Since we have ~5.800-6000 different sorts of Beer here, I can only tell you which ones I like:
    (in no particular order):
    1. Einbecker Pilsener. Just a "good mouthful" beer. A relatively tart, full beer.
    2. Flensburger Pilsener. Refreshing, taste isn't too much. Good on a warm summers day.
    3. Lübzer Pils. Spicy full taste, little sour, little tart, has it all.
    4. Soester Dunkel Pils. Fruity, malty.
    5. All our well known classics, like: Becks, Warsteiner, König Pilsener etc. They are all great beers. No problem with them.

We have some cool Weißbiere (wheat beer) as well of course, crystal wheat and wheat. Erdinger, Franziskaner, Augustiner, all are good to go. However there are some little breweries, that make even better ones.

When it comes to Spain: San Miguel (but only in 0.25l bottles) or Cruzcampo. Damm Estrella is ok, but I'll rather have a Mahou though.

But the best beer in the world, hands down, is from Belgium! No shit. Boy oh boy, these guys have some GREAT sorts of beer!!!

All I know is, that it is colder at night than outside.

Plus: Coke tastes better than out of a can.

I don't think I ever did something that can put me to jail or anything in all honesty.
Of course there are some tricks to pay less taxes etc. or you gotta do someone a "favor" to get the building permission. But that's about it. But nothing serious at all, when it comes to the possible punishment. Since my girl is a lawyer my girl has a strict eye on me when it comes to breaking the law.... I'm speeding all the time btw, but I wouldn't consider it a crime really.

I only had the Boston Lager till now and that was years ago (not so easy to get here of course). But yeah, gotta admit, that was a really good one. Most of your beers I've tasted until now don't really have a taste. Miller Lite and co are just not beer. I mean you can drink them of course, when they are ice-cold you can drink them well and fast. But they don't really taste like beer, they are more or less pretty neutral. The Boston Lager however was a great beer, had a full taste, good head, lots of hop, had a different taste in it as well - maybe some sweet tone or something. Again, it's years ago, guess I gotta drink it again to refresh my memories.

                Berghain, the club in Berlin?
Nah, have been there before when I was younger. But honestly: it wasn't half as good as you might think. Kind of laughable, when on one hand you have no mirrors or anything and you claim to do that because you wanna have a pure and simple experience of a club feeling - and on the other hand your bouncers act like they are working at the fashion show or something like that. Overrated shithole imho. I'm not a big fan of Berlin anyway, so maybe I'm biased when it comes to it.

I have a question, a real question and I have been bothered by it for years. Why do the idiots in this world, the Dwighties, Rifles and Loons why do they vote against their own self interest. No doubt in my mind those three lads live financially day to day. If either one of them lost a months pay they would more than likely be homeless. Loon might be homeless right now. So my question is why?

Simple minds care for populism, not for facts. That goes for every idiot of course, no matter which party. Same here in Germany. Yeah, it baffles me sometimes....

Good thing is you don't have the Deutsches Reinheitsgebot, so you guys are basically allowed to add anything you want and try totally new things when it comes to beer. That's the reason I love beer from Belgium so much btw.

The highest ever was ~305 km/h (~190 mph) with a BMW M5 (F10) (not mine, just one I took out for a ride when it came new in at one of the dealerships of my family). That baby has 560 PS (412 kW) and is a mean mean machine.
Normally with my own car I'm driving ~220 km/h on the Autobahn (only when it's free of course).

zizoudane. What's the military action over there? I'm sure the US has bases there. Is there a lot of activity?

With all this Russia plane blowing up shit going on, I was wondering if there was increased activity.

Here in PA, I live about 20 miles from a base. I'm seeing a huge increase in military helicopters and
cargo jets flying overhead. They had a live fire exercise this past week end.

                                      Thanks.

Have you had Westvleteren? It's probably my favorite beer, it's hard to find but worth a try if you are visiting. You are so close, you could drive to the monastery and buy some. If I could drive to buy a regular supply of that beer I would be in heaven. Until then, I'll stick with St.Arnold's Elissa(US) also Rodeo Clown is great(double ipa), same co.

I have no air base immediately near here, however I'm still in contact with guys in our military that are still active and who I know from my time there. It doesn't seem like there is anything special going on right now, and they would know. The air base in Spangdahlem had a huge training maneuver 3 weeks ago with jet fighters from Italy, which was huge apparently. But 3 weeks is too long ago. 8 days ago however, there was another big maneuver. Rumours say, that jet fighters from GB were involved, but I can't confirm that. Ramstein f.e. seems to be totally quite right now. If anything was going on in Ukraine, I am a 100% sure they'll need and use our air bases, and I didn't hear anything special going on (till now).

You are so close, you could drive to the monastery and buy some. If I could drive to buy a regular supply of that beer I would be in heaven. Until then, I'll stick with St.Arnold's Elissa(US) also Rodeo Clown is great(double ipa), same co.
                                          No I didn't
Last year ago my dad got a few bottles from a business friend but I was on holidays and he drank them with my brother
I heard this one is simply GREAT. Really special.
I would surely drive over and get a few bottles, but they have a fukked up system over there: You can only buy it at the monastery directly AND you can only have a reservation for it every 60 days AND most of the time the reservations for the next 60 days are gone in just a few minutes. You may only take 1 or maximum 2 wooden boxes a 24 bottles and you have a fixed pick-up date and you have to come with the car you registered with them.
These fukkers really don't want the money as it seems, they only sell as much as they need to for a living, no bottle more.
Never had St.Arnolds Elissa nor Rodeo Clown. Might be hard to get here in normal shops, most likely pretty impossible. I did a quick google search for online shops here, didn't find any, damn....

For me LA (as long as there is no smog), but that doesn't mean shit. But I think it's cool to have nice beaches in front of you and great mountains in your back. Yeah, I think being an Angeleno could be okay for me.

No shit? Great Yeah I am a little surprised. But I heard German is Nr 3 on the list after Spanish and French. Not too shabby. I speak Spanish and French as well. However, I think in our World today learning French is pretty much useless for us Germans. Spanish earns a top spot for sure, but French? Forget it, not necessary really. Would be way smarter to let the kids decide if they want to learn Chinese f.e. French is good and well, but you basically have no use for it, other than being able to speak it when you spend your holidays in France.
So, is this story true pal? And if yes: how well do your kids speak?

But my Mom is the older one (naturally), so if both would live a normal and healthy life after my decision she'd be gone first anyway. Plus: it is my Mom, I guess most of Moms would want their son to be happy and a whole lot of them would catch a bullet for their kids, no matter how old they are.

All of our German friends and teachers are very impressed with the kids since neither me nor my wife speak much German. We will probably take them to Germany next year for vacation and some real world practice. I'd choose LA too

(Excuse me, I'd like to have another coffee and a glas of water please) Most of the time when someone says it, he is not actually asking for forgiveness or anything, it's more a polite form you use when you have a question or a wish. Like: Entschuldigen Sie bitte, macht es Ihnen etwas aus wenn ich ein Fenster öffne? (Excuse me, do you mind if I open a window?)

Nazi memorabilia? Well, yes and no. It's not like my family keeps things because it is from that time. But we sure do have lots of stuff from both world wars stored. Simply because it belonged to the family and was never given away. We have a quite interesting photo album from my dads granddad f.e., with loads of interesting pictures from both world wars. I might take a few pics and show them here when I get my hands on it next time if you want to. We have some weapons from the war as well (when the soldiers came home, they brought loads of stuff with them). I'll see if my grandparents have anything real interesting when I visit them next time if you want to.
