Here's an analogy... Say a big group were meeting at a house, and it was complete chaos every night, people murdered, stuck up at gun point, raped, different rooms warring with other rooms of this house, crack savaging this " house " ... Now the law comes one day to break up the madness and shooting breaks out, people running over others to get out, some can't take the pressure and jump from the 2nd floor, the house and some peoples lives gets destroyed because of who the law had handle the situation ...

now for the moment it looks horrible, but afterwards people realize it was a God send, the house gets rebuilt, people get rehabilitated, new neighbors move in, the old way of thinking was gone now and a new better quality of life moved in..

To me it's just as likely the concept of God does exist than he doesn't, and crappy humans just piled a bunch of stuff on top of it when it suited them to do so. The fact that God is synonymous with Religion is just a societal construct. One does not require the other to exist.

I mean isn't it convenient that the whole concept of religion gave small groups of PEOPLE power, money, control, and a bunch of loyal followers? It would not be that farfetched to me that there were some basic religious principles that were just blown out of porportion. If you are a person of any kind just don't be a douche. Everyone past the age of 5 who lives in a modern society generally knows what is right and wrong - you don't need a bible to tell you how to behave - or to tell you that if you have figured it out, then it wouldn't be a bad idea to spread your good morals. That way you can enjoy your life, and when you get to the after life you will probably be okay. Many people base their "logic" of a God on "hypothetical syllogism". The massive leap from A to C exists only because we currently can't quantify or explain B (how did the universe begin, how the first cellular chemical reactions occur)

The lack of a current understanding of B, does not automatically mean that C exists.

Some Atheists are loud about it. I only get loud when they try to slide shit into the non religious schools. I'm also not fine with people who believe not only that we're living in end times, but that they have a role in it --- being anywhere near weapons that can cause global destruction.

Most books I've read on the subject, kids up to the age of 5 can remember their past lives.

My wife's grandson before the age of 5 told us he has lived in the neighborhood he is living in now.
As we drove around, he pointed out the house he used to live in.

He also didn't want to eat meat. He said animals live here only one time. Another thing I've read.

My wife's other grandkids I tried asking them questions about the afterlife before the age of 5
