This is a sordid crazy story. The accused, Tom Weeks is 45 yrs old. Last June 2013 he gave his 16 yr old stepson's girlfriend a ride home from the high school. She claims they were watching TV, somehow came close together and kissed. Then she gets up and goes into his garage. He follows her into the garage and she starts blowing him. They eventually have sex in the garage.
Then, in July, Mr. Weeks drives over to pick up the girl because she's going to see his step-son (her boyfriend). Well, they end up having sex again in his garage - apparently while his stepson was in the house..
Fast forward to this past Memorial Day weekend. Mr. Weeks is passed out drunk on his couch. His wife gets up to see why he hasnt came to bed yet. She sees his phone lying beside him and starts looking at it. She starts seeing all these sexual messages that he'd been direct messaging this 16 yr old on twitter about. His wife goes nuts and that very night heads to the police station and tells the police that her husband had been sexting one of his students. Well, the police end up interviewing the girl that he was sexting and she claims that it was more than just flirting - they they were having sex as far back as last summer.
He gets charged with like 6 felonies because even though the age of consent in Indiana is 16, he was her teacher so its against the law. He's in jail and his wife (who apparently in a jealous rage went to the police about it) ended up bailing him out. They both are claiming that the girl is making up the sex part. Personally, I think the wife is just in denial.
But still - this guy has a lot of game to bang his 16yr old stepson's girlfriend.
If I wasnt a teacher and I wouldnt lose my job and it wasnt against the law - I think I'd do it too.
They need to stop prosecuting these teacher sex crimes. Both parties want it. Let em do it.
