Well James, if you don't like to do menial things for self pride, what do you do that gives you that warm
    feeling of accomplishment?

Your landscaper is kicking his own ass btw. 1. move lawn furniture 2. cut large branches, haul to truck,
cut up there. Make sure he paints that part of the tree that's exposed or it will die. Oh, ask him what
    you're paying him.

      Rkelly,

It's not that I think I am better then doing menial things, to use your term. I just elect to use my time in other ways then doing household chores I don't have to do myself. I don't do my laundry ,clean any of the toilets in my house either.
Physical speaking when I get my lazy ass in my tv room and do some pull-ups or dips why watching tv I do feel a sense of accomplishment. Otherwise not too many physical activities give me a sense of accomplishment. I get more of a sense of accomplishment when I take a shift at the hospital watching a sick friend or I get something done at work that will impact my future.

Does he he really have to paint part of the tree to avoid exposure? Sounds like I learned something new today, Its 70 degrees here if that matters.

To each his own, my friend. I personally take great pride in doing my own work. From building my own deck
to building my race car motor and everything in between. Plan your work and work your plan.

Yes, he does have to paint it or protect it with burlap. Half of the tree is exposed. Even then, the tree might
have too much damage and could still die. If insects don't kill it, the shock of it having 1/2 it's trunk exposed
could kill it. The same for pruning a 3 inch branch or larger, (if alive) should have paint put on the part cut.
I've done it many a times with good success. (for myself)

$100 for an electric pole saw. $350 max for a self propelled push mower. $500 for a Disson vacuum cleaner.
$20 for cleaning supplies. Taking pride in your work by doing it yourself, priceless.
LOL I've used a handsaw to cut up bigger limbs than that. All that equipment is not needed just some muscle and the desire to sweat.

To each his own for sure. Would have never known to paint the exposed trunk, learn something new everyday. When I get back home I will see what the final result looks like.

Yeah, me too, but some people like power tools. For what people pay to have someone else do the work, buying
your own tools is cheaper in the long term, plus you are proud of yourself for a job done to your satisfaction.

James, I noticed you didn't put all of my quote about building race motors. Thanks for not openly calling bullshit.
It's not, I assure you. As a sophomore in high school, I started to fall in love with drag racing.

Long 40 year story short, I raced since I could drive. Street and strip. I have time slips from almost every car
I drove. I've had two dedicated drag cars and put together the race engines. I did ship out the machine work.

Nothing like firing up the motor you built with open headers for the 1st time and snapping that throttle. Boing!

rkelly I did not think you were lying at all. I just was not replying to that part of your post. It sounds like you really know your stuff when it comes to drag racing. Where do you race?

                            Yes,
                            but
If a tree is in a usually drenched soil area,

the Earth itself is severely limited on the weight it can hold

meaning the whole tree could fall over roots and all ......

I could chop it off with an ax if I elected to do so but why should I? Why would I mow my own lawn if I don't feel the need to do it myself? Removing a down part of a tree or mowing a lawn is not brain surgery. What priceless feeling of accomplishment should I expect to experience if I do these things?

                              optional,

i will ill edit my post to answer your question as well. Yes the cost of many things would raise dramatically without illegal immigrants. The price of things from fruit which they pick almost exclusively to landscaping would all rise for sure. The truth is though that illegals are also a HUGE drain on social services with medical and child services. In some ways the border tightening would be great and in other ways it would harm America, that's what the problem is, there are good hardworking illegals and there are worthless opportunist scum illegals. There are some that come here to make there family's life a better place and some come to sling drugs and commit crimes
start by charging $200/ hr. !!!!
