Do African Americans Prefer...

being referred to as african american or black? I'm gearing this question towards african americans. Does it really matter to you? If someone refers to somone of your race as african american vs black does it hold any value to you?

No I'm not a hick coming out of Hazard County and never saw an African American in my life. I've lived with two, but when I did, I didn't think of such questions.

Anyone care to elaborate?

not all blacks are afrikan, there are many non afrikan black countries.....and there are a lot of white people who are afrikan american too. these morons don't have a clue where they came from..they just use the 'afrikan american' label for sympathy and or shaking down you jackasses who buy their bs sob stories......

I guess that I meant more so if you were a mixture of black and another color. If your mother or father is black and the other parent is white, you could be very very light skinned, but still considered black.

Every successful comedian (Mostly they are Black/Hispanic because white ppl can't talk as freely as other races and are muzzled by America) is based on making fun of races.
