go there, you will not regret it, be prepared to wait during busy times...open 24/7 so go on an off hour

Get the Gumbo or pan roast, thank me later

Brock holy sht you gave a good recommendation! Im floored. Its hard to believe thats in a dump like the Palace Station. The Broiler thats next to it used to be fantastic, it has lost a couple of steps. If you like that Oyster bar you will Love Big Surs Oyster Bar at South Point. Trust Me Get the New England clam chowder, The Shrimp Scampi and the mussels in white wine sauce. Dip the bread in the Mussel sauce and get back to me! Any thing you get there will blow your doors off. trust me.

All the locals know about the pan roast @ Palace Station. The really good cook shows up at about 11PM at night.

Bobby Flay used to have a really good seafood tamale (that's the dish that made him famous), but don't go there for lunch.

Somehow the cooks at night seem better. Order your food at the bar instead of a table so you don't have to wait.

I ate there, wasn't impressed. All spicy shit on his menu. Steaks shouldn't be fukkin spicy ever.

Best place NOT in a casino is Texas De Brazil in Town Square Mall.

Best Italian restaurant NOT in a casino is Ferrara's right across from the Hard Rock Casino. Locals get 50% off there and they DO check your I.D. It's kinda pricey there but the food is amazing.

And a taxi from Bellagio to the Spearmint Rhino is nothing. Probly $10-12.
It's close but I don't think you can walk there.

We had an issue with Ferrara's in the summertime, and I am not sure about the quality of food. They use a type of oil that I don't think is on the lower end of the quality spectrum.

                I agree with Rhino tho

Cut at the Venetian/Palazzo ($$ but good and clean preparation)
Steakhouse @ Circus Circus - dive casino, but the steak they have there is the best on the strip relative to price and value (most of the casino sommeliers in town (how do you spell it?) go there to eat after they are done with work, primarily because of price and value)
Noodles @ Bellagio (get the soup of the day for $8, don't get the one with chicken feet, lotus root is the best one)
Seafood bucket special @ Michael Mina's American Fish @ Aria (only if they have it on the menu)
                  Julian Serrano's (f-in spicy tho) @ Aria
                  9 Steakhouse @ The Palms
KJ's Chinese @ The Rio (the chef early in the day like 2 or 3PM is better than the one at night)
Kyara Tapas off of West 215 Hwy (I think they have the best tapas in Vegas and relatively cheap and really good quality)

Canaletto's @ Venetian (order the Osso Bucco, Sea Bass or Lobster pasta) - sit at the bar with the fat bald huge bartender, he knows EXACTLY what is good that day .. i took a wealthy client there once, and he and his wife said they hadn't had good food like that in a while

mix variety here: Seoul Plaza 5020-5040 Spring Mountain Road, there are 3 restaurants here that are "unique"
Zen Curry - Japanese Curry dive, order the most expensive cutlet on the menu with extra curry sauce ( i think pork is like $12)
Kabuto - $140 for a set meal, small portions, but the sushi is some really high quality stuff. I ate @ McDs afterward tho because I was so hungry.
do NOT eat @ Monta Ramen in the plaza. famous place, cute chicks, ramen sux.
Raku might have good Japanese food, but I heard the service really sux sometimes.

By far the most tender steak I have ever had. Both the skirt steak skewers and porterhouse were delicious. My pops and I split the porterhouse for 2, which was delicious, but they show you the steak then cut it for you into chunks of meat (like 3oz. pieces) To make sure they don't give you the fat, they seemed to trim off a fair amount of meat (Need at least a side or two to feel full). Spicy onion rings also were delicious.

Pretty extensive wine/beer selections, service was beyond excellent (I mean escort to find the bathroom excellent). Only downside for some people is the menu featured no salad (it was like fried egg among other things in the "salad", and wasn't based on greens). Didn't bother me, but some people might be a bit unhappy.

Without a doubt where I'll be eating at least once on the next stop in Vegas.

i have an issue with Craftsteak - MGM Grand Hotel & Casino - MGM Resorts .. my friends ordered the Kobe/Wagyu whatever combo entree and regular steak entrees, and they didn't like it. $700 for two people, and they didn't think it was that good.

i don't know if Heritage is good, but Tom Colicchio has to pick it up at the MGM - within a span of 1 year, the food quality has been spotty. hopefully it's not the case with the new place @ the Mirage FYI

FACT: There are more steakhouses in Vegas than New York City.

And, we have the best steakhouses in the country.

The best steak in the country is at Carnevino in Palazzo. They offer a 6-8 month aged Rib Eye. I think you have to call ahead of time (Like a few days ahead of time) to get that particular steak.

Somebody mentioned Circus Circus. Yes, they have the best balance between quality and price. Same quality beef at other steakhouses it much more expensive.

I agree that Carnevino is very good at Palazzo/Venetian. Used to love Gallagher's at NY-NY but their prices went through the roof several years ago.

Charlie Palmers at the Four Seasons has a monthly special that isn't the best meal in the world but is nicely priced for what you get coupled with the atmosphere. We miss Bradley Ogden at Caesars.
