He/They were great in their day......1967-1977, but after Mick Taylor left the band...they have been second rate...they are currently a huge embarrassment, Imo.

I've been listening to old Rolling Stones for the last couple of months, and it totally baffles me how they used to make such awesome music, and now they totally, completely suck. Nothing from their last albums is worthwhile, and yet their old stuff is golden. It's like they got replaced by pod people or something.
You can't even say they're just making a different type of music. Some bands do that, they explore different styles, and I can respect that even though I don't particularly care for the new stuff.
Is it just age? A lack of hunger? Not enough drugs? Too many drugs? Too far from their roots? What?
