BUchanan: Hispanic Influx Could Break USA Into Two Countries
On Andrea Tantaros radio show last week, conservative columnist and author Pat Buchanan warned of an unintended consequence of the immigration reform bill, a bill which doesn’t place a high priority on assimilation.

According to Tantaros, her previous guest, former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey, said that the immigration legislation funnels money to so-called community organizing groups like La Raza with the idea of teaching immigrants “American history, the Constitution and civic participation.” That leaves open the possibility of activist groups teaching with a partisan slant — and impedes assimilation.
Buchanan, author of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?”explained that when different cultures are encouraged to assimilate, nations are susceptible to splitting apart, pointing to recent history as proof.

P Buchanan the politician called a racist by the sharpest R since Lincoln and certainly not a liberal but a full blood conservative. PB is a dangerous racist because he smiles with you and he is quite personable. But, when Barry G, mister conservative himself calls this guy a racist I think some credibility should be given to Mr G.

You're an idiot. Buchanan is no racist, moron. When he ran for office his running mate was a black lady.

You discredit yourself further with every lying post you make.

Even Richard Nixon found the views of his former speech writer, Buchanan, too extreme on the segregation issue. According to a John Ehrlichman memo referenced in Nicholas Lemann’s The Promised Land, Nixon characterized Buchanan’s views as ‘segregation forever.’ After Nixon was reelected, Buchanan warned his boss not to ‘fritter away his present high support in the nation for an ill-advised governmental effort to forcibly integrate races.’” [Salon, Sept. 4, 1999]

Moron, listen to what Buchanan himself says about the race charge against him. See if you can buy a clue.

Buchanan discussed how he felt "surprised" that MSNBC did not have him on the network, after he had been on Fox News, CNN and many radio stations to promote his book. The two broadcasters discussed what they believed were organizations that work to "blacklist" or "rule out of bounds" individuals with particular points of view. "I understand the poison that comes into the American domain of debate and discussion when what you are saying are ruled out of bounds and you are viewed as someone who is not welcome into the mainstream of American ideals and American discourse," Williams said.
Williams added, "In your case, the charge is one that is so powerful in the American mind...the charge is: Pat Buchanan is a racist. So let me ask you. Are you a racist, Pat?"
"Do I hate black folks?" Buchanan asked. "That's what racism mean— that I hate black folks, I want them discriminted against... No! It's not that. I do disagree profoundly with the affirmative action agenda, and a number of other issues but I've argued as I said with African American folks my whole life. Our schools that I went to, the Catholic schools, were the first ones desegregated in D.C."
Buchanan added, "Juan, you and I, if we sat there and watched cable 24 hours, we can hear people called [a racist] everyday. And it makes one of the points of [my book], that American society is disintegrating. It's breaking down and breaking apart because we've lost our common faith and common moral consensus...all of these things that once held us together."

Why are you getting excited, it isn't me saying this it is his conservative friends. Don't try to convince me convince your conservative buddies that believe he is a racist. You know when it comes from your own party, well maybe there is some substance there. Don't you think?

And what a surprise a conservative that claims he is not a racist, hmmm I am shocked. I think that is what the KKK said when they met up at the local watering hole after just lynching the latest black victim. Hey we aren't racists guys he deserved to get lynched after all I am pretty sure I saw him looking at a white girl.

He's not a racist you idiot. Would a white racist select a black woman for his running mate?

Besides that, you deflect the real issue here with your ridiculous charges.

The fact is, Buchanan is right but you don't want to argue the points of his article, you want to smear him because you know you'll lose the argument.

Using your logic, Obama can't be racist either because he has a white VP.

Will you acknowledge that? Obama is not racist because he has a white VP?

                          I'll go slowly Mr. Bigfoot.

You, and many of the other Obama haters have yapped about Obama being racist.

You ----using the most fuked up logic yet----opined that Buchanon can't be racist because he had a black VP candidate.

So, why would any conservative think Obama is racist if----he selected a white guy as his VP?

I'll ask it straight up. Let's see if you can answer it. I doubt you will.

Do you think Obama is racist?

The best part about this thread is when Boeing offers sympathy for Philly's mom dying-- and all the people laughing at him, and nominating the post.
