All contrarian plays late in the season, got burned a few times, tried to stop that train and just got rolled over, every time.

Fortunately I was mostly out of that strategy after going on a big run this season. Good thing too, because it wasn't just the Cards, the Contrarian Fund, had I been betting the same amount, would have back to even this year. A wild ride, but I knew better.

About time to buy back in though, for the playoffs.

I had a lot on the Cards +1.5 -105. Watched the entire game and in the 9th inning with two out and a man on figured it was safe to get up and take a piss as extra innings looked likely.

Come out of the bathroom 30 seconds later and see 3-1 final. The only scenario that would bury me was a 2 run homer.

Never even had much of a threat from Dodgers
If anything it was Cards who put Scherzer from

Yeah, they left so many runners on. I was on LAD and should have lost that. Way she goes though boys.

I actually like the MLB quite a bit. I haven't been very big into it this year though, just so much going on.

I don't really have a team in MLB so it's just numbers for me. But the numbers are interesting. I like that a ton of the advanced stats are all out there and easily accessible.

Last night we're watching the Wild Card game and when that soft liner hit to Edman at SS was intentionally dropped to erase the runner at first via force out she says to me "wait a minute, he can't drop that, infield fly rule"

She knows more sports than half the dudes I know, she just needed a clarification is all.
I went on the explain to her "it's a judgment call on the umpires' behalf, almost all liners soft or hard hit especially from the waist down won't be considered an infield pop-up"

It could be just me, but there's nothing sexier in a woman when they ask me to clarify the infield fly rule to them.
I was sporting wood so hard after that a cat couldn't even scratch it, I'm telling you I had cat scratch fever.
