The value of a man is not determined by the amount of money in his wallet. Not even the slightest bit.

Nation definitely hasn't lost it's morality. In fact our times are more moral than any other times before.

We are living in the best of all times. Is there a WHOLE FCKING LOT to complain about? Hell yeah. There is. And still our generation was born in the easiest of all times. Look back in history and tell me when there was a time when the average Joe was treated even the slightest bit better and had even the slightest bit better conditions of living.
Ironically this is exactly the reason why we have more suicides than ever (which might not even be true though.... Same goes for rape f.e. We don't have more rape in our days, we just have more media and more justice to make it public, that's that.) People are 'weaker' than they were f.e. during WWII, simply because they are living such a much better and easier live than their ancestors. A bad beat was daily business a few years back. Nowadays when it comes to the point where something bad happens, most of the people consider it to be so shocking, so brutal, that they can't deal with it. Simple psychology here.

As a sidenote:Lithuania is Nr.1 on the list. A reason is, that they are heavy drinkers. No shit. 80% of all suicides are related to alcohol in Lithuania. People drinking, drinking more, drinking even more, getting depressed, because of the drinking their live gets worse and worse and they end it.
And on the other hand: Watch the list. Jordania f.e. has 0.0 suicides per 100.000. That's obv BS. Finland f.e. has 35 suicides per 100.000. But they have a stable economy, people are happy, people have everything they need. Switzerland is another example for this. Chinas official rate is 13 per 100.000 which is BS again. You have honest countries here, telling the truth as their numbers suggest it. On the other hand you've got countries that a) don't collect any numbers at all, or b) are straight lying, because they want to show the world how great and happy their people are.
Every medal has two sides, as always. But I know that it's a lot easier to hear something, adapt it and moan about it, than to build your own opinion by informing yourself, learning, and thinking about all aspects.

I wouldn't deny a few of your points here. Pharmacy industry has a big lobby.... Probably too big.
But again, as I said above: every medal .... etc.

Not long ago you would have died from a lot of - nowadays 'little' and 'simple' - deseases. Penicillin f.e. is such a great thing to have. Or my great-great-grandfather, he died of a heart attack. A heart-attack is a relatively easy thing today. My other great-great-grandfather passed away with only 46 years, because he was a stonemason and died of silicosis. Silicosis is easily treatable today. And pain pills are a hell of a great thing to have. Antideprissants too.
But I agree with one thing: Medicine is WAY too expensive. Lobby is WAY too big. And it is a real shame how easily children who are let's say a bit more quite, or a bit melancholic, or a bit too loud, or a bit too wild, are treated with highly dangerous medicaments and/or antideprissants, even though they have nothing that needs a treatment. And that's a shame.
