    I think I read somewhere you're supposed to consume 1 gram of protein for every pound of bodyweight. I know a glass of milk and cottage cheese won't cover 215 pounds, so the shake adds about 80 I think (I take 2 servings since I don't eat lunch because of class). I'm not sure if my first statement is even scientifically correct, but that's what a lot of guys are saying.

        I lived off this shit for about 10 years. Had a roomate that would put cans of tuna in his shakes. I can drink them every now and then but they almost make me sick now

          Um...The glass of milk and few bites were meant to be taken after a workout. Did you really think I meant thats all the protein a guy needs per day?

          If you're a professional weight lifter and need to maintain muscle you need 1 gram.

          The body can't handle 80 grams of protein at once, you're shitting it out.

          edit: 1 gram per lb of bodyweight.

              I also want to mention. With this exact same product. You can use this as pancake batter and make breakfast for yourself in the morning. How does protein chocolate pancakes sound? It's not going to be totally fat free... because you need oil etc... but... best f'ing nutritional pancakes of your life. I don't know how accurate this is... but the guy who developed MET-Rx went to Harvard. Heard he was a nutritional genius.

                ON Gold Standard is the only way to go. One after working out, rest of your protein should be from foods. Nobody here is eating 1g per pound of weight, you'd only do that to bulk and actually probably end up adding more fat than muscle anyways.

                        He doesn't have to show proof. The body can only digest effectively around 35g of protein every 90 minutes. That's why body builders eat small meals... 5-6 times a day. It's worthless to consume anymore protein than that... it's a waste.

                                This can't be serious... Regardless there is only study that shows 50-60 grams is the limit, but it hasn't been proven by any means. Stop spreading misinformation.

                                    optimum 100% whey gold standard after a workout, optimum casein at night before bed, and myoplex RTD as someone mentioned during the day at work. i have also had the ABB 50 gram slam and its pretty good but expensive.
