What's a decent tip to leave for Christmas for my newspaper delivery guy
The guy who delivers my NY Daily News to my doorstep has been flawless all year.

When I leave for work before 6am, my paper is on my stoop, day in, day out, all year long.
Even the Sunday paper, which most delivery guys get to whenever they feel like it has been there before sun up.

The guy never misses the stoop either, flings it from his car, always on the stoop, like the basketball player who hits 98 percent of his free throws.

So, I'm thinking, what? 25 dollars in an envelope? Too little? More?

The guy has been rock solid all year, bad weather and all.

Completely depends on your neighborhood/current situation. If you are barely squeaking by, $25 is a very nice gesture, middle class homes maybe you up to $35. IF your property is worth more than 750k, you should give the guy $50 probably.... If gambling isn't your main source of income, I would say the proper gift is .75-1 unit (if greater than $25)

Make sure you give him a letter saying don't start gambling and if you do find Brock landers and fade.
That will be worth more then 25

Yeah 20-25 is what we usually do in our neighborhood (outer edge of Indianapolis). I searched online when we started a few years ago and that seems to be the general consensus amount. Great gesture man.

Nice gesture Nash. I'm sure he'll be appreciative of anything around that figure.

While were on the tipping subject.............what's a good year-end tip for my gardener? Guy comes every week.........and my monthly bill is $100. Mayan..........check in pal.

                    25 is plenty good

If he does a really good job and puts the paper somewhere different when it is raining out so it doesnt get wet then throw him 50

This place has classed up since jj and nickaaaayyy haven't been around.

Those brokedikk fuks wouldn't tip shit if the paper guy had to swim thru a pool of piss with snakes and alligators on a daily basis.

25 sounds like a good number.

                          Nice gesture.

                          Guy will really appreciate it.

I delivered papers as a teen and got tips from 5% if I was lucky. And I was good. $25 is more than generous. Maybe put $25 on your favorite bowl game and give him the bet slip.

You think his paperboy wants his x-mas tip riding on a football game?

$50 tip for the bloke that delivers the newspaper? Americans are just damn weird with this tipping thing.

Leave it up to the bloody employer to pay his damn wages. Give the bloke a nice thankyou card and/or a bottle of wine. A much more personal and genuine sort of thankyou.

Similar service here except I get "end of driveway" as it would take Johnny Football to reach my door steps from the street. $20 and a thank you here.
