Police investigate death of man who fell from Gold Coast highrise

Police detectives are investigating the death of a man who fell from a Gold Coast high-rise apartment building Friday evening.
The man, 24, fell or jumped from an upper floor in a building in the first block of East Oak Street just before 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, according to police.

[COLOR=#767676 !important]He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and declared dead at 12.15 A.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Police investigation found that the man apparently fell from a bathroom window in an apartment on an upper floor in the the apartment building.
An autopsy was scheduled for today to help determine whether the man's death was an accident or a suicide. Belmont Area detectives were conducting a death investigation.
