#107Did they say they banned a former POTUS for spite? Do they have to give a reason to ban someone? Asking for a friend they were curiousOriginally posted by DwightShruteYou this quite often in case you haven't noticed. You make up a silly outlandish hypothetical what-if scenario followed by an equally ridiculous conclusion to make a point over which no one was saying or even suggesting.
The fact is this, before Elon, Twitter wasn't a private company. Not really. Social media companies like Twitter are free speech platforms. They have certain guidelines and rules. They are given special privileges by the US government.
Unfortunately, those rules were broken constantly by Twitter employees and management. When you ban former president for spite and not breaking one single rule, then you are an activist. When the FBI comes in for weekly meetings to inform you about what their surveillance has uncovered, you take that information and use it to block a story from being shared on your platform which will be detrimental to the democratic party, then you are an activist. You cease to be a private company. You have turned Twitter into an arm of the democratic party who use your platform to skirt around the 1st amendment and you lie to congress and your users about it.
I wish musk would ban all that are NOT GOP, Republican, right wing or what ever other name they go by. I think he has the right and should do it! If you actually read the 1st amendment, any reasonable person could see that would not violate itComment -

Twitter’s top ranks were riddled with ex-FBI agents and executives, stitching the company even closer to the federal agency now under fire for leaning on Twitter to meddle in the 2020 elections.
More than a dozen former feds flocked to the company in the months and years prior to Elon Musk’s purchase of the social network in October.
The Post found FBI influence was considerably more significant than just James Baker, the FBI’s former general counsel who later worked in the same role for Twitter. He was recently fired by Musk for interfering in the billionaire’s efforts to come clean about past transgressions at the company.
In some cases, the former G-men and -women held positions that would have put them close to company leadership directly involved in censoring The Post’s Hunter Biden coverage in October 2020.[/COLOR]Comment -

The White House has been mum about whether it will invoke executive privilege to stop papers from becoming public Feb. 28, 2023, Insider reports.

The National Archives informed the Biden White House and the Obama Foundation in a Nov. 30 letter that it planned to release the records in response to a Freedom of Information Act request for vice presidential records created between May and December of 2014 that contain the word “Burisma,” Insider said.
The letter said “several” of the emails involved media inquiries after it was revealed in 2014 that Hunter Biden would accept a seat on Burisma’s board, where he was paid as much as $83,333 a month even though he had no experience in energy issues.Comment -

You must have not read my post correctly I would not think Biden would or should have the power to make that decision if Mr Trump were still POTUS I would feel the same way.
I'm not like the GOP and think whatever is good for me at the time!
Surprised you would not agree Biden should not have that power I would have thought that was something we could agree on!!
