I'll read this article but I'll be going in biased because that sloth Gina Rinehart is in the first paragraph. She is in no position to be judging anyone for their financial position or lack thereof. Man I can't stand that broad.

Agree with this statement to the max. I know 5-10 very successful entrepreneurs that worked in their field and each eventually started their own business and all became multi millionaires. They all seem very happy with in their business and personal family life. Whereas the trust fund babies seem to be the ones who are 40 and single, gamble 5 days a week, do drugs and use prostitutes regularly.

I didnt say it wasnt fun but these people arnt usually happy. Probably happier than the average married person but not happier than the average rich person who built his fortune from the ground up.

I downloaded a lot of stuff to watch and read about her on the flights to and from Vegas. After hours of learning more about this mole I've kicked her to the curb. The things she has done to further increase her wealth are more than negated by what a conniving, cold, miserable woman she is. She definitely doesn't fall into the slot of money making you happy at all.

Opie is the man. Mayor of Wagertalk.

I agree w/ a lot of what is written in there. My biggest thing is that if someone is unhappy w/ their lot in life, get off your ass and do something about it. In this country, you can. Don't just sit there and bitch about it.

Sure people fail, but being 'rich' is not simply down to randomness or things beyond ones control as Buddy would lead you to believe.

This is it. You should be able to watch it outside Australia. Quite a few of the Four Corners programs are really interesting if you're ever bored and looking for something to watch.

Any club in any town has someone in there on a weekend with teener or more. Not to mention the benefits of women that come along with it.
It's a social drug for extremely recreational users - NOT HABITUAL USERS. I honestly can't believe that I've had to say that three times and you still can't comprehend it.

You really don't know what you're talking about.

The people I know that have worked for it are usually extremely happy, and they are not scared because they have nothing to lose. They started with nothing. Most hollywood actors were fukked from the start. They have been giving every benefit, because of looks or parents or whatever.

All about perspective. Show me the dude who came from nothing and made it to something and I can guarantee that dude has had one hell of a ride.
Agreed. But the principle stated here was that money, in and of itself, produces happiness. That's simply not the case. There are also many cases where people turn on people who've found success. Money and greed can tear families and friends apart. It can get rather ugly.

And for every person that worked extremely hard to become rich, how many people attempted a similar path but failed? There is a pretty dangerous illusion there. The chase itself can lead to pure misery for some. People love to live in the ideological world that anyone can become rich. In reality, it's simply not true. There needs to be poor people for there to be rich people. Not sure how people can't grasp such a simple, obvious concept.
