Agree with this statement to the max. I know 5-10 very successful entrepreneurs that worked in their field and each eventually started their own business and all became multi millionaires. They all seem very happy with in their business and personal family life. Whereas the trust fund babies seem to be the ones who are 40 and single, gamble 5 days a week, do drugs and use prostitutes regularly.

I posted a documentary on here about her a few weeks ago... she's trying to cut off her kids from money her father left them, she's a paranoid nit so she's trying to buy up and control one of the massive media organisations here, her own dad called her a lazy cow before he died, etc. She even got busted trying to buy witnesses in a trial against her stepmother over her dad's money. Considering she inherited everything she has, the fact that she says crap like that is just revolting.

I didnt say it wasnt fun but these people arnt usually happy. Probably happier than the average married person but not happier than the average rich person who built his fortune from the ground up.

I downloaded a lot of stuff to watch and read about her on the flights to and from Vegas. After hours of learning more about this mole I've kicked her to the curb. The things she has done to further increase her wealth are more than negated by what a conniving, cold, miserable woman she is. She definitely doesn't fall into the slot of money making you happy at all.

Agreed. But the principle stated here was that money, in and of itself, produces happiness. That's simply not the case. There are also many cases where people turn on people who've found success. Money and greed can tear families and friends apart. It can get rather ugly.

And for every person that worked extremely hard to become rich, how many people attempted a similar path but failed? There is a pretty dangerous illusion there. The chase itself can lead to pure misery for some. People love to live in the ideological world that anyone can become rich. In reality, it's simply not true. There needs to be poor people for there to be rich people. Not sure how people can't grasp such a simple, obvious concept.
