Very tall, super gangly, can't even walk properly. If you saw this guy walking on the street you would laugh.. he looks like one of those guys that just got his leg braces off. Really exciting watching Raonic-Murray. Median rally is 2 shots. If guy does not nail an ace he is +450 to win the rally.

These guys won't ever win a Slam as long as there are good returners in the game. Their serves can only get them so far in Grand Slams. You can see with guys like Raonic & Isner, when their serve isn't giving them easy holds - they really struggle with their confidence in their ground games because they feel extra pressure to have to win points in rallies. If serving was the only thing you needed to win, Isner would be a Slam Champion. The only tall guy who really has an all-around game capable of doing more than the serve is Del Potro. 6'6" guys can be plenty athletic, but they have to have some sort of work ethic for other parts of their game. Guys like Raonic and Isner don't do nearly enough work on some of the other facets of their game. That is one thing Roddick made a priority after realizing serve only gets you so far. Made him a better overall player.

Take a look at the top four Fed, Djoker, Nadal, Murray. They all have similar physiques, about 6-2, 180 lbs, slender athletic build....perfect physique for tennis. Guys that are built like Raonic/Isner will never win a slam as long as the big four are still playing........guaranteed.

Those tall yetis will win rinky dink masters tourneys but slams, not a chance because they have piss poor return and defensive skills.

Ferrer is one of the greatest athletes in the last 10 years in tennis and the guy is 5'7, not even close to 5'9 like his records say, he is like other short pit bulls like Connors or Laver. Errani has been on a incredible run and she is 5'4 and is like a Henin or Evert and Li Na but these guys like Isner and Karlovic and Raonic are always going to to go far with a dominant serve but problems with knees and the bending down for shots become a problem. The ideal height for tennis would be like Fed,Nadal,Djokovic or Sampras's height height of 6'0-6'2 for men and probably 5'10 -6'0 for women.

Serve is such an important part of the game but you couldnt find a more boring match than an Isner/Karlovic serving duel with no long rallies. I have heard people laugh about genetic engineering coming into play at at some point where abnormally tall big servers may be bred like racehorses but I really thought Akgul Amanmuradova was going to be like Britney Griner in basketball but her serve hasnt crushed the competition. These tall guys and gals still face alot of knee problems, you still need to have the ability to sustain rallies. I still think Raonic is the best of the younger crowd.
