The reason we are in the hole we are in is because Hendry was signing players trying to contend with a broken team.

Smart Cubs fans are ecstatic about this salary dump/no big contract situation right now because we are FINALLY rebuilding.

Hendry did a lot of damage. Then he tried to fix his damage with band aids and the reality is, this team needed to be gutted and I'm glad Theo was smart enough to realize that.

As for today's game, I was pretty sure Pomeranz was going to shut down the Cubs. But yeah, he'll only go 5 or 6, but the Rockies' bullpen has been pitching really well.

I'm on the under, but you could conceivably get your over with some atrocious Cubs' pen work.
